Have you heard the Vince Parsnip Christmas? "The improv nights you do down the food bank have kept us in tinned potatoes"
Although that might be an advantage, instead of playing up for the Premier League, just get us playing a brand of football that wins games or is at least competitive.
http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...d-tv-pundits/story-30029359-detail/story.html here's a better one Mike Phelan 'a good man that will always be a Hull City hero' and 'a new captain taking over the titanic after it hit the iceberg'
@bbcbursny Told @hullcity players been told there'll be a new manager by Thurs.I think Gary Rowett with Darren Robinson as DoF seems likeliest #hcafc
If Phelan had adopted the tactics of the last five games earlier the club wouldn't be in this mess. Sunderland and other teams around that time were there to be beaten but his negative approach and lack of a decent striker proved costly. While feeling sorry for him, I won't be losing too much sleep and neither will he with the money he's earned for being a failure. Paying his mortgage won't be a problem. When he said recently he hoped the owners had learnt their lesson from the last transfer window and should act quickly bringing in new players his days were numbered. It was probably a well planned own goal to get out with a pay-off. No one tells the Allams what to do!
@henrywinter Hull City need new owners more than a new manager. Phelan had to contend with internal politics, injuries & lack of investment in the squad.
Only himself to blame really! Bad tactics, bad transfers, if he had anything to do with them & bad team selection.
Allams managed to drive Bruce out during the transfer window, and sack Phelan before a transfer window... anyone not think this is just an ingenious way to not spend money on transfers and blame it on a lack of manager during the window.... again
Just a point for all those assuming Rowett, i can't remember the last time we appointed the early red hot favourite. The media and bookies made educated guesses at these things and they're rarely, if ever, right.
True, the other name I heard that fit the left field theory was Marco Silva who looks like he could be good.
