Do people realise a Head Coach doesn't even buy players ? Clubs with a Head Coach usually have a Director of Football , we have Ehab
If he is going to make a fight of staying up lets hope he has the brains to hold out an olive branch to the supporters to try and get rid of the negativity that surrounds our club. Start using our name would be a start, opening discussions with all the supporters groups on introducing concessions next season would be even better. I'll not hold my breath though.
Richard Cockerill has just been sacked by Leicester Tigers. Do not rule him out, seriously do not rule him out.
Don't agree. Any manager/coach with Phelan experience and contacts would have had players sounded out well before the window shut. He didn't have to spend a penny and could have gone for wages only players and loanees but he was like a kid in a sweet shop who'd found a £20 note outside. The time scale was tight, agree, but it wasn't all the owners fault. The take over fell through and Phelan himself kept them waiting while he tried to wrangle a 3 year contract out of them. I do also agree that it has been 6 months wasted and £20m on players who haven't improved the squad.
You're spot on...and I do admire you're positive outlook (genuinely) I shall also avoid holding my breath
Marshall. Keane and Mason were Brucies targets and completed by Ehab - no idea about Weir, Mbokani and Henrikson

He's cashing most of the loan out this year anyway. Same wage bill as last time in PL when we made a profit. This season 20th in the PL was already getting more money than Leicester got for winning the league last season due to the new TV deals so that was at least an extra £24.7M coming in. The fall in value of the pound has then increased our expected revenue by over £20M because the overseas TV deals are now worth more when the cash is converted.
At the end of the day, the Allams are running the show and doing the hiring and firing. They pissed around in the summer with Bruce and his targets were not signed, so they forced him out . We lost a successful manager and his targets, then they procrastinated with Phelan and the decent larkers had gone. It's on Ehab's watch. He has saved a few million by making Bruce resign, but lost countless millions more because of his ridiculous management style. We were the last club out of 92 this summer to make a signing, then made 6 in the final 36 hrs. Still at least the fans have stood by the club and have faith in The Plan.....
