Palace 2-0 down at Arsenal but have had some good efforts on goal themselves.

Jordan Mutch coming on as a sub for Palace - remember him?

Petr Cech has been great in goal for Arsenal today with multiple fine saves to keep Palace at bay. Saying that I've likely just blown his shutout chances.

Excellent point well made by Big Sam on SS saying that the fixtures are all about making money (his own recent misdemeanors aside) and everything else is irrelevant. This was after being asked about Palaces's game against Swansea on Tuesday and they only have one day to recover and prepare for that game.

Being an old cynic that I am it was a fluke......he could try that 10 times and 9 of them end up in row z......when it does go in it looks good, give him that, but more luck than judgement!!!!!

Of course it was a fluke, he will never do that again. But it did look good.

Mike Dean manages to **** up yet another match early on by red carding a West Ham player when Phil Jones appeared to be the one making the more vociferous challenge.

    RED CARD - Sofiane Feghouli
    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

The Hammers are down to 10.

    Harsh decision?

West Ham's Sofiane Feghouli has been dismissed. The Algerian takes a heavy touch on the ball allowing Phil Jones to nick it away.

Feghouli stretches, with both feet low to the ground, and goes in late on the Manchester United defender.

Did he have full control of his body? Perhaps not. Would anyone have complained if Mike Dean had just given a yellow? Definitely not.

Clive Allen - Former Spurs & England forward

I think it is a harsh decision. The fair decision would be a yellow card for Sofiane Feghouli, because he's not jumped in to hurt Phil Jones.

It is two players coming together totally committed to playing the ball. Jones has got there first.

Wonder if Mike Dean will get a call to officiate in the Chinese Super League...?

I think the West Ham fans would have a whip round and pay for his plane ticket there.

    Horrendous, ridiculous, terrible.

Just a few of the words being used to describe the decision made by referee Mike Dean to send off Sofiane Feghouli.

Johnny Magrinho: What a horrendous decision against Feghouli. This is why we need video reviews - heat of moment decisions are rarely right!

Andy: Never a red, but I'd rather play with ten men than have Feghouli on the field anyway. He's terrible.

Colin Reardon: What an appalling decision by Mike Dean. Never a red. 10 secs of TV replay would resolve. And I'm a #MUFC fan!

Antonio misses a great opportunity at one end and a minute later Mata scores.

Ibrahimovic now adds a 2nd goal when clearly offside - even he looked across at the linesman rather than immeditely celebrating the goal.

West Ham 0 Man Utd 2

62 mins - The substitutes combine.

It is all about Marcus Rashford. The England international is picked out on the left with a raking Phil Jones pass.

Rashford then shows he has pace to burn, putting two West Ham defenders on their backsides. He then has the composure to find his team-mate Juan Mata.

The Spaniard lets the ball run onto his left peg, before lashing a finish past the helpless Darern Randolph.

61 mins - WHAT A MISS! Michail Antonio missed one earlier and does the same again.

Manchester United give the ball away and Manuel Lanzini picks the ball up. The Argentine plays a beautifully precise though ball to Antonio, but one-on-one with David de Gea, Antonio hits it straight at the Manchester United goalkeeper.

The West Ham man cannot believe he has missed and neither can boss Slaven Bilic.

Clive Allen - Former Spurs & England forward at London Stadium for 5 live

Manuel Lanzini's pass was exquisite, he threaded it through and Michail Antonio was one on one. It's a tame finish though. The reshuffle of Man United's defenders, he just crept in behind. What a big chance.

Martin Keown on MOTD denounces (rightly) the Fernandinho tackle which saw him red-carded, saying 'there's no place for that in the game'. How the **** did you earn a living Martin?

Always makes me chuckle when Keown is critical of a bad tackle.

Can't help but think, while watching Bournmouth beat Arsenal, that the latter is so much better than us that it is hard to understand Howe it can be so!

This is what you get when you have stability, a plan, good man management skills, an objective, players who know their job.......ohh and a squllionarie Russian backing you.......they are not plucky little Bournemouth......and would fall foul of FFP if they ever get relegated.......meanwhile good luck to them.
