obviously tricky to predict opening games of the season. for example, the past two seasons my predictions were: norwich 3 - 1 colchester and norwich 2 - 1 watford! i feel we are good for a point here though. i'm looking forward to going as wigan is one of the few grounds i've not been to - another one to tick off on the list! we certainly have a goal threat but i believe, despite the strengthening, we shall concede goals regularly. i'm going to go for wigan 2 - 2 norwich, holt and bennett to grab our goals in an exciting, end to end match
3-0 to Norwich. Jackson (37 minutes), Crofts (52 minutes) and Hoolahan pen (68 minutes) Wigan to be stunned at how lightening can strike twice and the football pundits of England to start taking us seriously. how's that for a prediction? I'm not sure why Holts not taking the penalty though. I hope hes not injured. :/
the opening game for as the latics as always bean hard to judge because like when we play threw the season we are not consistent to be able to predict what will happen in the first game of the season but now that we have a top class keeper on side and a couple of new signings things look far better for us threw the ranks so realy norwich you will be faceing a side that ready willing and able for what ever the premier will bring so the 2-1 prediction is correct for us not you...
The game proberly won't happen so that makes it even easier to predict now... I will be gutted if the game gets called off which is looking more likely
Guess it just depends on what the police feel is likely to happen in Manchester, whether they think they'll need available officers/reinforcements.
They're just thinking about a blanket for the whole of the prem and calling all games off as there's so many effected areas already...
Wigan 1 City 5.... 2 for Holt 2 for Jacko and 1 for Hoolahoops..................................... .
Absolutely nothing mate, pure speculation on my part. It's just, should the situation escalate and serious trouble erupts in Manchester, the police are likely to want all available numbers at their disposal, rather than tied up at the football. As I understand it though, both Man Utd and Man City aren't playing Saturday, so there aren't going to be police tied up there, which could be in our favour. I reckon unless the decision on Thursday is to call off all the games, we'll probably be OK. Whatever, let's hope there's no more trouble anywhere.
2-1 wigan, im hoping that wigan with the experiance can get througth this one dont know about your team though how is your defence
Our defence has been our weakest area for the past couple of years, but we have made some good signings in that area, so hopefully we will at least put up a bit of a fight Usually though, our method has been to just score more than everyone else, so I have no doubt that we will concede, but we should score a few as well. I think this may be harder for us than some people think, so I'd be very happy with a draw, 2-2 I feel.
