Aye, but if Liverpool pack their area with defenders then they will create all the openings we need ;)

Draw the best result between Liverpool and City imo - better to have both of them within a couple of wins of us so a slip by either one will open the door. With the obvious proviso that Liverpool losing is always good fun <ok>

Whenever a high boot is called I always remember a few years back when Ashton nearly took Rio's head off with an overhead kick and no one batted an eyelid.

Refs do have to protect the keeper, but no way was that a foul.

City already 1-0 down. Not sure Guardiola can keep giving away leads to the opposition and expect his team to make comebacks. Liverpool defend from the front tbf so we will have the problem of being organised defensively as well as finding the goals ourselves. We can beat them, I know that but I'm not so confident we've improved enough to.

Pep the AMAZING philosopher and the man that would change the face of English football has never looked so average in his entire illustrious career. How do you spell E-X-P-O-S-E-D?

West Ham on Monday and Spurs have Chelsea Wednesday
After the talk after 5 games, people were going crazy even saying to hand them the title because the league was already won<laugh><laugh><laugh> Pretty much the same they are doing with Chelsea now to be fair lol

Well, after watching the Liverpool v City game I can honestly say if we don't get top 4 this season heads should roll.
I have not seen the stats but would be surprised if the two teams produced more than 4 shots on target between them.
Pep has sucked the life and invention out of City, this coupled with the fact they seem incapable of stringing 2 passes together produced a very dour affair, that said, Liverpool seemed to have blown themselves out after 35mins against a very static City team (is the season catching up with them already?).
Games between top 4 teams can often be cagey and tactical leading to low scores but, they are usually good to watch because of the quality involved, this game unfortunately wasn't.

You waited until after your game finished before reappearing. The mask of #fear <whistle>

You're 6 points behind Chelsea. We're 7 points behind you. Let's see who overtakes who first.

Smalling was an absolute mess for the Boro goal. 2 mins later he's the one being subbed for Rashford. Don't think he will last much longer at United under Mourinho.

I feel he is starting to enjoy himself and be a little more content with the squad

He was laughing at the disallowed goal. He was joking about the poor ref decisions even at 0-1 down. Much better from Jose, it's good to see. Also shows the atmosphere behind the scenes is better <ok>

I think the players now know who the boss is and Jose knows who is staying and who is out :emoticon-0100-smile

Lets hope Martial does because his body language and attitude was excellent today.

Shame that Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin seem to be "out" :(

Morgan has shown very little compared to my expectations, Basti is a little bit injury prone but at least has fought his way back to the bench, still a chance? who knows.
Given the fact that we are left with an aging Carrick and useless Fellaini, I would imagine Jose has someone in mind for the summer transfer market.

This now means that the top 6 are almost established. I really cannot see anybody outside catching up with them.

It is the order that we need to look at. First is almost decided unless Chelsea collapse like the RS did last time when they completely miscalculated what was needed. With 7 points between 2nd and 6th, it takes only a defeat or two for places to change. The RS with their #collapse history must be looking over their shoulders.

Very interesting so far, the Scouser's usually collapse around the end of the season, Arsenal do it around February and City are suffering from Pep.
Could this season be the first in a long, long time that United and Pool both finish in the top 4 and Spurs overtake Arsenal?

The RS are already crying about their missing their most effective attacker who is going to the African Cup. I can see them dropping lots of points.

Busy period, all that mattered was the 3 points. Carry on spinning though D <laugh>
