I think even 1950 has seen the light. I'm not sure even RBF really thinks it's in the best interests of the club to keep him.
Pretty daft giving Alex Neil a long term lucrative contract when we knew he would struggle to keep us up last year . If it's more expensive to sack him they should bring in Pardew Lambert Hodgson or anyone with any experience of success at this stage as director of football giving the new guy the final say on team selection and shape but keep Neil at the club as a coach until he quits. We will probably lose again on Sky Saturday and when the pundits echo what every Norwich fan thinks after the game even Moxey Delia and Co will be shamed into action. Moxey should be given his marching orders too he has been a disaster and has no affiliation to our club other than a drain on the resources.
If we can't afford to sack him, then just place him on gardening leave and let Dmitri Halajko manage the team. At least the development squad have put in some decent performances this year.
When a club like ours needs promotion to survive, to say we can't afford to sack a manager that at this rate could relegate us and piss off the entire squad and fans is a ridiculous position to be in. It's almost as if Neil has a gun to Moxey's head and can make as many terrible decisions as possible losing week in week out because he knows we are too tight to sack him.
Proof positive that you only see the bits you want to see in any post. There's no point in any discussion with you so I won't bother!
Your "none so blind as those that won't see" comment was after 50s lengthy post explaining that we are better off keeping Neil. You appear to take everything personally and call the bullied "agenda" card every other day. 50's set a scene that Delia would cash in and sell to an asset stripper who would bulldoze Colney and build a new Lakeside on it sell all our half decent talent and no manager would come here because we are a basket case. So try not to upset her or voice your disapproval or she will turn on us. I think that his summary is nonsense but you appear to be , (by quoting and commenting that he's wasting his breath explaining to the blind amongst us ) that you agree with him thus keeping Neil is the only rational solution. Ergo you endorse sticking with the manager. Your whimsical response was very vague Dave.
No agenda Dave . The question was posed "Does anyone still think keeping Alex Neil is a good idea ?". One day you concede enough is enough he has to go then RBF posts a poem saying we should all just suck it up and stop moaning and you agree with his sentiments. You are very vague Dave. You would like me to be banned because you don't like my views and if you were still a Moderator you would almost certainly have done it already so don't talk to me about an agenda .
Well thank god he isn't! There'd only be him, RBF and his poems and 1950 left on the forum You and I, DD, would disappear like Sergio Canos and Alex Pritchard! Never to be seen or heard of again!
"The bigger history subject is club ownership: has it been in the owners’ hands for too long? Have they not kept up with the times? Is it akin to asking Queen Victoria to sort out Brexit?" Chris Lakey column in today's EDP. Despairing stuff indeed http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/norwich_city_it_s_simple_you_must_do_better_1_4831324
I don't wish to make this personal but you were accusing me of still wanting to keep AN when I quite clearly stated yesterday a few times that AN had to go. I think you have also twisted my summary of the financial situation. All I set out was the position of the Club Owner and Board as I saw it and what COULD - not WOULD - happen if they were forced out. In fact what I set out as a possibility was exactly what did happen at Coventry when their former owner was forced to go. I am sorry if my concern for the financial future of our Club clashes with the general view that sacking everybody in sight without satisfactory replacements in place will guarantee success but perhaps I am too cautious by nature. I do not have frequent access to the internet nowadays but I do like to contribute when I can even if I often hold a minority view.
Surely we are in exactly the same position as 2 seasons ago with Neil Adams. Relegated from the Premier league starting well then fading by Christmas. Adams didn't have anywhere near as bad form and we parted company for the better. A new man was put in place and we managed to finish top 6 and win the play off final. For every Coventry or Portsmouth there is a counter argument where a foreign investor comes in and succeeds moving the club forward like Leicester as a great example. I don't advocate Delia to be forced out by angry fans but I want her to dismiss Neil because he's failing miserably to get the best out of HIS players and get results on the pitch. That is his job and it is clear since Newcastle and Brighton that he is not capable for what ever reason and he needs to be put out of our misery. We completely wiped out our debts so talk of nose diving like Coventry seems peculiar . Sell Klose and Brady bring in a decent centre back keeper under a new manager and give ourselves a decent shot at finishing top 6. Maybe even loan a couple of players in that can't get a game at a bigger club. Just doing nothing is not going to cut it and we in my opinion are more likely to crash into league 1 if the transfer window is given to Alex Neil and our highly paid team of head hunters . We don't have to agree 50's and I am simply putting on the table my views of what we should do , I hope you don't take offense to me having an opposing view either ?
Let's see what twist is put on this! I see the twist now, he hopes not to offend you by having an opposing view when in fact he totally misinterpreted your view! Sacre Bleu!
