Dusan seems to be a little dithery at the moment. Not sure where that's come from. Agreed though. We're very close to being a good team.
Pah! When's the last time we beat Tottenham at home? Just don't get angry about results anymore - even the Hull City and Palace scores - it's Southampton it's what we do. Lose stupid games and make money on players. It's where we are and probably where we always will be. We used to do it in the 1940s and 50s let alone now. Just used to it now.
Agreed about Forster. He has quickly gone from one of the best keepers in English football to one of the most inconsistent in the league. That performance and a few In recent months have been woeful.
I'd like a new striker as well,if however we don't get up as a team consistently to help said forward we'll soon be moaning about him. We DO sit back too much!
I dunno. We started quite well but it was pretty awful towards the end. When you get right down to it we lost 4-1 and they also missed a penalty and hit the bar while our best chances that I can recall came when Lloris miskicked clearances. Even allowing for the red card that's not very good.
You have to make a genuine attempt for the ball to not be sent off. Redmond pulled him back so it was a red regardless of whether it was a penalty or free kick.
Unlucky boys. Got much time for your club. Went to watch them away to Huddersfield town back in league1 if I'm not mistaken. You won 3-1. I'm stoned that was a random fact. Best of luck in getting into Europe.
Strangely enough not too disappointed. We started strongly and attacked with vigour. They scored two good headers that changed the game. Very unsure about the Redmond sending off, yellow and pen, but I Fo not see that as a red and pen, there were enough players around (and it was not s goal scoring opportunity as the donkey put it wide). Loved Puel going for it with 3 sub's. I think Puel did well today and if the team had stuck yo the high press in the 1st half the result might have been different. Noticeable how Jay led the high press and was conjoling other players to join - a good sign. Then we have Foster, no mistakes, but where is his form, no wonder saves, four shots on target, four goals, kicking poor, guess we stick with him, but not looking good. Ward-Prowse, our ownJekyll and Hyde. Great delivery to set up a goal, but then so weak for their fourth. Really not sure about him after 4-5 Yes of aging in the premiership, think he needs to step up soon. And Hilbert, for ****s sake practice the pass into a empty net from 40 yards, I am sure a few on here could have tucked that away. Overall - positive signs
There's showing passion and calling the other team all sorts of unwarranted insults. People do have the right to make a comment and if there's a disagreement fair enough, I can accept that but to pour vitriol on the other team ................ I feel ashamed of my comments about Chelsea and Manchester United so won't indulge in it anymore.
Fair enough, I think they both grappled attempting to get there first. Is grappling not a fair attempt at getting the ball if both players do it...
Spurs deserved more win, but not by that margin. It would help if officials could get decisions right. Penalty and red card were both utter jokes. I'm out.
I don't get why we spent the first 15 mins or so pegging them back and then pressing, but then suddenly stop. Not sure I agree with your assessment personally, I don't think we looked at the races from 30 mins onwards. It was almost like the Everton game except Spurs had the nouse to kill the game off.
Can't say I'm too unhappy about Redmond's sending off. Maybe forcing him to compete for his place might actually make him perform. God knows how he gets into the starting 11 week in week out.
