just round to the local club as they have a band and a disco on.
going round there with a few of the wifes friends and their partners so promising to be a canny night.
golfing in morning as well lol.
havent done first footing for years, always used to be a bit of bread, piece of coal (if you could get it) and money.
no one knows about the first footing much down here?

We normally have a big party in the house with friends and family, everyone gets buckled and the least buckled gets the job of trying to light the fireworks at midnight. It's usually my job but i'm always too far gone by then so we have to find someone sensible.

However, this year we are going out, got tickets for the Mill House, buffet, live music, lots of ale and cocktails then what should be a 20 minute walk back to our house for more drink. The walk will probably take an hour like, that's if we don't get lost along the way. Looking forward to it though.

Going to a buffet with English Norwegian and Swedish friends at bar just outside Hua Hin. Food and lots to drink, don't think first footing has caught on in Thailand. Don't matter, wouldn't remember if we did first foot anyone
Have a fantastic time guys and gals hope 2017 brings you all that you wish for, have a blast.

Just me the wife and daughter. We'll have our Steak Chips Mushrooms and Tomatoes dinner swilled down with a nice bottle of Faustino One. It's kind of traditional now in our house. Nowt special but we enjoy it.

Hate NYE, all the lads turn into wannabe MMA fighters for some reason (a bit like **** hole Norwich on every other night of the year).

    Quiet one for us.

**** knows what first feeting is.

Not a big fan myself. Women get squeaky excited over nothing and men seem to get lairy.

If it were up to me I'd buy some drugs as a treat and spend midnight in a cold shower, fully clothed having a panic attack.

I doubt the wife fancies it though.

Best new years were in younger days, just the local pubs then wandering around everyones houses meeting whoever happened to be in that house at that moment. In more recent times , never minded paying for a place who were doing music and a food, but while living in Oxfordshire couldn't stand my social circles' attitude of prioritising the choice of somewhere to go on the quality of the food (and therefore exhorbitant price) at the venue. Often it was a good meal, but sh*t atmosphere - with many attendees eating then leaving even before the music started. Just couldn't get friends to see that they could have a nice meal any time of year, and that the night was about the people you shared it with and not about being seen to splash an unnecessary fortune on food. Don't bother New Years at all these days

I'm not fussed at all about living it up on New Years and neither is my wife so we won't be doing owt. I do quite like to look at the coming year and wonder what it holds.

I do first footing although I didn't know it was called that. I just do it because my dad's from Shields and it makes him happy that I'm carrying on the tradition, personally I'm not one for rituals and traditions.
