Just fast forwarded thru the game. When you're down, you certainly are down. 1 nil on 11 mins to a quality goal. Headrush for a stupid penalty. A red that even has the Sky Commentators coming out in sympathy for Ned. This needs fixing very quickly indeed. After losing to three barely believable goals against Ipswich at Portman Road, I want to see blood and fire on Monday. If we win, great. If we lose, at least can we go down fighting?!!
Huge respect for your positivity and I sincerely hope you are right. I agree with you about the luck but it seems ot have been like that since we used it all up when we stayed up at Bolton's expense who (with poetic justice / injustice depending on your team) we may be passing as they come back up!
As SussexR points out, neither Cousins nor Luongo have thus far chipped in with a goal. Of course, you could say the same for our so-called strikers too, but therein lies one of the more significant problems with the balance of this squad. You would normally expect your midfield to chip in with a few goals, but with Chery out of sorts, Elkie Kawasaki (?) seemingly unfancied, and nobody else capable of walloping the ball goalwards with anything resembling purpose, it is no surprise that we're sinking faster than Dracula's teeth into fresh pussy.
He's not as he's completely ****ed to the point of being unable to run at all after about 50 minutes and for those 50 minutes he's bang average.
Whilst a better striker would certainly help, unless our defence miraculously mans up, and the midfield starts creating we are going nowhere. We are simply poor all over the pitch other than in goal. Combined with no leadership on the pitch it's a recipe for relegation.
My son got us a couple of tickets for the Blackburn match, Why the **** cant olly etc kick his arse till he gets fit?
It must surely be SLF that makes the final decision on transfers based upon football virtues and team-fit. The owners then act or not on his recommendation. Sure, there have been financial constraints, and we still have the arbitration hanging over us, but there was surely enough in the kitty to get in better quality than we have. If Ollie walks, the DOF needs to fall on his sword or be pushed.
Nothing to do with Holloway. I think the bloke is just crocked. He's not played a full season for years. He's also about five years older than his official age I would guess.
