Or put another way, "the operation was a success but the patient died".

Had it been the other way round then the football world would be up in arms and have the ref and linesman sacked. Things would have been more acceptable if they just had not commented in such ways.

I don't see it totally that way, only since they strung a few results together.

I know what they mean about the goal but it shouldn't have stood. If someone gets given as offside just past the halfway line but they then flick the ball into the air and scissor kick it into the top corner, if someone seriously say it should stand because it was just too good then they're an idiot.

Yeah they're on a good run but they aren't troubling the top sides.

Thought we played alright today and were the better team in patches. Until the first goal went in then, as has happened too often this season, we just appeared to give up. Overall, 2-1 would probably have been a fair result imo.

Not going to complain about the offside goal, it happens, swings and roundabouts.

However, I will complain about professional pundits CONDONING it because "it was too good to disallow". Jesus christ, words ****ing fail me.

"Aye, you ran over three kids, but **** me that was some flashy ****ing handbrake turn you were doing at the time. I'm gonna let you off, lad." :police:

There is no way that little spanish guy could have made a play on that ball. It was always going to be Pickford's in the end - with or w/o Kone's intervention.

Someone, I think Van Anholt, got on his horse and made sure Kone wasn't the last defender. He learned that from Yedlin last year.

Not having a go but your terminology sometimes and constant unnecessary glorification of all things "U.S of A" does make me chuckle <laugh>

    Rattled!

I can't imagine being this bitter about anything.

As for your rant, assuming you haven't smashed your computer up I'll go ahead and address that for you.

Better team in spots perhaps, you defended well and closed us down with intensity and dogged ambition. You created, from memory, two chances a free kick which was a straightforward save for De Gea and a calamity of fluffs culminating in Victor Anichebe scabbing it from a yard out and finishing with his head in his hands.

If that constitutes you being "All ower" us then I would like to know what word you would use to describe the period of the match after the Scorpion King entered.

    Got on his horse <laugh>

Both of them got dusted by the Scorpion King.

Ref was obviously in a festive and benevolent mood towards you.

Can't believe how many complaints I'm reading, if it wasn't for Zlatan having too many pigs in blankets on Xmas he'd have probably scored 5 yesterday.

To be fair, Mourinho was very complimentary about David Moyes and our team.

I sat and watched the game with my brother and he was saying right up until about the 70th minute, that a draw would be a fair reflection of the game. The last 20 minutes, you bitch slapped us.

It was never in danger of being a rout and the score line was maybe a fair reflection of the game, maybe even 2-1 would be fair.

How much better do you look with Michael Carrick in the team, though? The mags actually thought they might have signed him, in the summer <doh>

Just watching the full game now on MUTV.

Think RAW's been taking acid to be honest but I'll persevere I'm only 14 mins in so far.

Carrick is definitely important for us.

26 mins in Pogba's hit the post, and tbh I'm starting to contemplate using RAW's comment as a signature at this point. He must have had more to drink than me.
