We scour the markets for bargains and then unearth a Kodjia for £2m.. then sell him at the first opportunity for £15m ok fair enough, good deal however its £15m strikers that are required to get you in the Prem, simple as that.. now we need to repeat the process?? I know you may say "but he was playing up and wanted to go" maybe a bit of man management and better deal, who knows, he seems to have thought this club doesn't share my ambition.. We have one striker of any quality on our books and he doesn't belong to us and will undoubtedly return at the end of the season. I am beginning to question if we really do have an ambition to go up a level because I can just see history repeating itself and no lessons being learnt!!
That's exactly what I meant. Not sure how you got that confused with me having a dig at you mike?...... We get told the same stuff every year, it's just coming out of a different managers mouth.
Sorry shiny I must have had too many Coronitas. It was posted straight after me and I realised later it probably meant the news conference and I hope you forgive me for taking it out of context. Party on mate. Totally agree with your comment about the same sh*t different manager.
Can you have ambition and build sustainability at the same time? The issue with SL is that he has been burnt in the past and does not want that to happen again. Arguably his choice of managers suggests that he is going the budget route to the Prem.
The comfortable route can sometimes be a bit bumpy but if you get there in the end does it really matter, even if it can be damned frustrating?
