The King George is going to be a cracker. I'm going with Cue Card in it. It wouldn't suprise me if Paddy Brennan has him in front turning in. If that's the case Thisltecrack has to get all the fences in the straight right or it will end in tears. That will be the first time his jumping will have been tested and I wouldn't take 11/8 on that happening let alone him getting past.

I'm looking forward to Min v Identity Thief on Boxing Day. Hopefully there'll be a clear cut winner from the pair and if so Altior may just have a battle on his hands in the Arkle!

Good race that Beefy. Should give us some more clues.

Is Faugheen skipping everything at Christmas or just Kempton?

    Annie??

I've seen a quote from Ruby tonight that says we won't have to wait long to see Faugheen .................................. so he's probably out for the season <laugh>

Ruby supposed to have said something along the lines that Faugheen's 100% and will be seen soon. Possible Annie could follow last year's route at a guess, Mullins is a creature of habit ain't he.

Worst King George ever? Silviniaco Conti for ffs? Cue Card joint fav with a novice chaser from the same yard? Really?

Well we've got dual and single King George winners in Conti and Cue Card, the Gold Cup favourite and an Arkle 3rd.

I agree that the turnout is disappointing but the field couldn't be much better from what's available. Losing Coneygree from the race has taken the gloss off. Also of course no Vautour, who was electric in this last year in that great battle with Cue Card.

It should still provide a really intriguing contest.

Hmn. On the face of it, a field of 5 is unlikely to inspire enough adrenalin to burn off a single mince pie. Don't get me wrong, I love Cue Card, but it feels like I've been following him and Silviniaco Conti for decades. Thistlecrack might be the next big thing, but he's in the wrong race imo. Should be in the 2.05, where he would probably learn more.

    This Josses Hill any good?

It's a shame about the lack of numbers, but I think it will be an enthralling race. Come on Cue Card!

Looks like it will be up to Cue Card to set a good gallop, otherwise it will be Thistlecrack's for the taking. Assumimg he does, this will test Thistlecrack's jumping and either prove too much at this stage or confirm we have a new super star

Don't agree Ron I think it's Thistlecrack who needs to make it a proper gallop.

I don't wish to be rude, but why name him Thistlecrack?

Surely, anything can't be anything but anything. If it wasn't anything, it couldn't be anything, it would have to something else.

He has got a half brother (other than West Approach) but he's had some problem with his teeth that set him back.
