Possibly the worst year of my life. The year kicked off with one of the closest people in my life nearly dying and hes still in a similar position now. My 94 year old Grandad is the best man you could meet. Hes an ex dam buster that didnt have to fight in the war if he didnt want to because he was an engineer and the country wanted to keep tradesman at home. He defied orders and signed up anyway to defend his country. To top the year off im now single after 5 years of marriage so 2016 can feck right off.
I could tell you the full story about that, from the man himself and his father who was also a war hero in the first world war.. Top men, don't come any better than them two fellas.
Impossible to get any better. Both hard as nails with a heart of gold. I never get sick of hearing grandads stories. Hes in hospital now after yet another heart attack. He wont be home for xmas.

**** 2016 Had a brain hemorrhage which led to a stroke in August. I spent 23 nights in intensive care. Wife spent every night in the room sleeping on the couch. Three brain procedures in 14 days. Good news is I'm doing well now. Everything works, speech included. Wouldn't know anything happened to me unless I told you. Being a stubborn prick can sometimes work in your favor I guess. Bring on 2017

Well, after all that lot I`m proper boring me. No massive highs, no catastrophic lows, no scares, no surprises and I`m no richer or poorer than I was this time last year. Just plodded along. Same again will do for me. Boring has a lot going for it. Best wishes to all of you lot and take care.
