I'm not convinced we have a "list". Well, Phelan will have. Probably filed in Ehab's waste paper bin by now.
Hull City are one of SIX Premier League clubs eyeing Manchester United winger Ashley Young, according to the Sun. The versatile Red Devil has struggled for minutes under Jose Mourinho this season and has featured only nine times for the Old Trafford outfit. With a rumoured price tag of just £5m for the England international, a whole host of top-flight clubs have shown an interest in the 31-year-old, including the Tigers. City head coach Mike Phelan will no doubt look to utilise his contacts in the upcoming January transfer window, and may be able to take the lead on Young's availability due to his many years spent at United. But West Brom, Everton, Burnley, Swansea and Young's first club Watford are all keeping tabs on his situation. Young's link comes on the back of the news that Robert Snodgrass has reportedly turned down another new contract offer at the Tigers and the City winger has been linked with West Brom, Celtic, Middlesbrough, West Ham and Sunderland. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/manc...0000665-detail/story.html#rPgcMBSFPVAWPzKv.99
We shouldn't underestimate the negative effect of being bottom of the league when trying to sign players. Which is why our next 3 games are massive. If we're still bottom after the WBA game we'll have to pay over the odds to sign players - which we all know the Allams won't agree to.
Another one to scrub off the list. Likely Ashley Young would come to this car crash of a football club.
The sky sports feature on the top 100 players of 2016 features some interesting names definatly some bargains on there
Doesn't Elmo (and M'bok) go to African Nations? Have to get a RB/RWB. If we want to persist with 352, we need some defensive cover for a tough second half of the season. Davies is one of 13 (?) in Premier League to have played every minute of every game. None of the others will have had to play every game preseason and then pretty much every cup game. That has to take it's toll in terms of tiredness/ injuries second half of the season. Elmo, Livermore and a few others wont be far behind.
Hope not but he's a good fit for them. Try and get up to fifteen. Unfortunately i cant see us turning it down. As long as we reinvest most of it.
I really couldnt understand why we didnt have a plan for when odubajo got injured as elmo is awful at rb he just cannot defend massive lapses in concentration, i harped on and keep harping on about how ideal fosu mensah would be on loan he can cover the full back 4 as well as dm/cm and always looks good when united give him gametime, i thought the 2m spent on weir and keane could of been better used paying fosu mensahs season long loan fee Trippier is another who would be a great signing but who knows if spurs want to sell and if trippier wants more gametime as well as the fact levy would prob charge us £7m which no way were spending You have to wonder what , if any transfer strategy we have, rumours of ehab scuppering deals , penny pinching (weir, keane) , the only positive i see is phelans been out scouting early which is a good sign so must have some form of plan the only thing is will ehab tell phelan theres nothing in the pot which i honesly thinks a real possiblity If were to be suprised and there is cash for recruitment great, the followings contracts expire in the summer so maybe could be got cheap in january if there clubs havnt offered extensions Still the list aint great Glen johnson Wayne henessey Adrian Charlie adam Chris brunt Peter crouch Andrew surman Stephen ireland Arouna kone Seb larsson Michael kightly Darren fletcher Fraizer campbell Tyias browning young everton rb Championship Mulumbu wouldnt be a bad dm signing (norwich) Dale stephens (brighton) Ryan bennett cb (norwich) Anita (newcastle) Tiote (newcastle) Charlie taylor (leeds) If we have cash Assembolonga Rhodes Ulluo Fosu mensah loan Tuanzabe united cb prospect contract expires in summer
