Dawson doing the presser with Mick this morning. please log in to view this image “We certainly haven’t felt sorry for ourselves after West Ham. Our focus was on Man City straight away when back in training.” “We just haven’t had the rub of the green really. Unfortunately football can be cruel like that at times." “The Premier League is hard, but we deserve to be here after what we did in the Championship. We will keep on fighting.” “I hope a result on Boxing Day can kickstart our season. Obviously we know what they're all about the kind of spending power they have, but obviously I hope Christmas can bring us a bit of fortune.” “It will be tough against a side like Man City, but we'll do what we always do, which is stay together and keep fighting.” Dawson has confirmed his contract is up in the summer, but has so far heard nothing from the club. please log in to view this image “The only negative of last week was the result. The performance was terrific, but you don’t always get what you deserve.” “The players have had a rest, but, as a group, we're all looking forward to the next game against Manchester City on Boxing Day.” Phelan has confirmed that Abel Hernández is ‘still a couple of weeks away’ from a return to action. Ryan Mason and Josh Tymon will both come back into the squad, whilst Allan McGregor is also back in training. Mike Phelan says the club has exercised 1-year contract extensions with Robert Snodgrass and other players. "Other players" include Harry Maguire, Jake Livermore, Abel Hernandez and Andrew Robertson.
Tymon back in the squad must have been injured, as I thought it was strange that he didn't feature in the Spurs and West Spam squads.
Anything been said about Tymons contract? If we don't sign him up Ehab will have to find cover at left back. #askehab.
Phelan's full comments on the contracts... "What we've done, not just with Robert but a few players here, we've exercised the options that were in their contracts," Phelan told a press conference this morning. "We are ongoing in negotiations with those players and at this present moment in time they are registered at this football club. "That we hope to change, we hope to get them on the deals they deserve and we'll keeping working on it. "We've got a few (as well as Snodgrass). Harry Maguire, Jake Livermore, Andy Robertson, Abel Hernandez, Michael Dawson and Josh Tymon, we've taken care of all those issues. It's a slow process but they're all on contracts so we can get down to the business over Christmas. "I'd like to think all of them will commit, I don't see why not. "Some are gaining attention from elsewhere purely because of their performances but at this moment in time they're with us and hopefully we can keep them." http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...0006269-detail/story.html#u8frKQmYMgMzlXL0.99
The club have just confirmed they have options on Dawson and Tymon's contracts and have exercised those as well. Funny that Dawson didn't even seem to know there was an option to be triggered.
As far as we're aware, the players with contracts expiring at the end of this season are now... Bruce, Alex (Unconfirmed) Kuciak, Dusan (GK) Lenihan, Brian Luer, Greg Maloney, Shaun
not be all that surprise if Bruce jnr pitches up at Villa come January. saying that didn't SB get him a new 3year contract not long ago, or did I dream that.
