After getting caught I am amazed any English Team would take him on. Having said that Sam is due a failure so maybe he will take them down.
They have some pretty decent players and also during that time that included Mr Bolassie. Seems as though Parsnip couldn't manage them into a winning team. Probably a blow to his England manager opportunities....lol....the biggest thing that sticks in the throat is them beating us 3 - 2 when we were two up at the SOL. You look at that table and see how terrible they have been but they beat us....only Sunderland
I'd be shocked if it's not Allardyce. I'll be surprised if he's not in the stands at least for their next game on Monday.
Must admit I expected him to clear off overseas out of the way. Somewhere where honesty and integrity are handicaps. Qatar for example.
I wouldn't have thought so I reckon Sam won't be short of options so he'll get what he wants most likely. Many on here were seriously talking him up coming back and sacking Moyes. People have morals of course but morals soon fall by the wayside when there's £100m tv money on the line.
Agree with that. He`s a bloody good manager. He was shown the door and given a large wad of hush money, it`s not as if he was banned.
On the other hand Palace got rid of Pulis because of his style of football so bringing Sam in may be with conditions he is not happy with. The player attitude at any Pardew club has never been the best, so half of their current team may not be happy with him going even though they contributed to his departure. Another hard man manager could backfire on them - hopefully.
If we beat Palace that day when we were 2-0 up we would have been 5 points clear now !, I hope that does not come back to haunt us, anyhow they should get Carver/Mclaren in and do us a favour !.
It seems from Press Reports that The FA sacked Sam for 'a lack of judgement'. As he hadn't broken any rules, they had to pay him £1mil compensation. So what are the evil crimes he's supposed to be guilty of? He is said to have been prepared to tell some third party how to get round some badly drafted FA Rules. (If you can get round them they MUST be badly drafted). There are I believe quite a few Solicitors and Accountants who make a very living out of advising their clients how to get round poorly drafted legislation. They don't seem to get the sort of flack that Sam has had to take. PS, If you hadn't guessed I'm one of Sam's Fans.
Me too, the only obstacle to BS returning was and is Short, who at the time seemed to sour Sam's departure to the extent that he could never return. The quip about Moyes always being his first choice was petty and unnecessary under the circumstances imo.
Looks like it's happening http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38411381 For the record, I'm happy with Mr. Moyes, if we get it right in the boardroom then I think we will go places with him..
A two and half year contract so Palace will be returning to the type of football their fans hated under Pulis, but who cares about the fans. Palace are a mini WHU in their belief on how their football should be played and Sam could be inheriting a fairly hostile reception from fans and dressing room. There are some big egos there and he could have a battle to get what he eventually wants.
