Former Refs Chief Keith Hackett Ranks Every Premier League Official on Their Performance This Season. He thinks Mike Jones, Jonathan Moss, Roger East and Lee Mason are all not good enough to be Premier League referees and should be cut from the Premier League. He's not wrong. http://www.90min.com/posts/4302732-...-their-performance-this-season?utm_source=RSS
Can't argue about the list but nothing will be done about them. There in such a protected position where they never have to discuss their match day decisions to the media.
I'd say ALL of them need to be got rid of. They're all a load of ****e. EDIT: Actually, scratch that, all of them BUT Clattenburg.
Lee Mason is next to useless. I wouldn't want him refereeing a Sunday league fixture let alone a PL fixture. I know the job is incredibly tough, but unfashionable clubs (like us) never seem to get the rub of the green.
Jonathan Moss has to be the worst of that bunch, though that Craig Pawson (who's not in the list) is also dire..
I personally think Oliver is ****e too, only ever gives decisions to big teams. We very rarely get anything when he refs.
Clattenburg has been by far the best ref in the Prem...maybe the world....since Webb retired. How the hell Atkinson gets a 7 is baffling. Marriner is solid, Friend too. Jones, Mason, and East should be doing Div.1 games. Moss should retire.
I'm always a bit confused by this thing where they get dropped from PL games for a bit if they **** up. They still have to make the same decisions in the lower leagues - it's a bit like saying, "you can go and be a useless **** at some Championship game but you're not spoiling Chelsea's fun, not this week anyway. Doesn't matter about Wycombe, you can piss them off all you like". Maybe it's just me. But probably not.
No. I was wondering the same thing. If they're not doing a good job of reffing a game in the PL, how are they ok to ref a L1 game? Surely useless at reffing means they shouldn't be allowed at all.
