Is this the type of player we miss?

    Or maybe a Bolo.

I wont say Henderson, after the way he was crucified on here.

Always thought steed was incredibly overrated. Had good close control and low distance passing but couldn't play a killer ball or shoot to save his life.

That and the fact he only had 60 minutes in his tank meant I never saw what the fuss was about really.

Wasn't he one of the top assisters in the league in his first season? Could be wrong but that rings a bell.

I don't remember that at all. Maybe my opinion is tarnished by what I remember towards the end.

Who's this Henderson you are referring too?

Presumably not the Jordan Henderson who was in with the rest of the Sunderland Fans at the 2014 League Cup Final.

    Before my time.

But it's hard to see why we wouldn't want a player who is a leader on the field, has unlimited energy, can pass, tackle and even score the odd goal and is a Sunderland Fan.

    Read the old ones!
I can't even keep up with the new ones.:emoticon-0107-sweat

I may have retired but I'm now a Professional Grandparent.
The expression, 'my time isn't my own' fits me perfectly.
However, it's fair to say that in such a debate I'd have been one of Jordan's supporters.<devil>

It's also fair to refer to my signature.

As far as I can tell, you don't have one.

Mine is---- The fact that no-one agrees with what I say is not, in itself, proof positive that I am wrong.

I'm very fond of it. It reflects my modesty and humility.
