Your 24 year old DM is injured so you plan to sign a 27 year old to cover

Then act surprised again when your team has no legs

Schneiderlin is exactly the kind of #noambition flopped feeder club signing you would have made before Moshiri so what is he adding?

Depay is a favourite to sign for Everton in January. Utd want shut as he is not the player they thought he was.

Schneiderlin was brilliant at Soton - the same Soton side that half of your first team came from btw #noambition #feederclub <laugh>

He's not been given a fair crack at United, but that doesn't mean he's not still a good player.

He'll be eager to prove a few wrong, not sure about his ego in fairness, but we'll see.

Really rate Schneiderlin, him and Gueye together would be a really formidable partnership and you imagine opposition teams would struggle to get their attacking players on the ball in dangerous positions with them two in the middle of the park. Only thing I'd maybe ask is whether there is enough about them going forward and on the ball or would they hamper you when trying to move the ball from defence to attack?

I always think to have balance in a midfield two you need one that can really play and one that does the dirty work. Kante/Drinkwater as the most recent example I can think of. I think Schneiderlin & Gueye are a bit too similar in this sense, but to be fair Chelsea they are flying with a really defensive partnership of Kante/Matic so I guess it can be done if the formation is right.

Depay and Schneiderlin could be excellent additions I feel - both were brilliant for their moves to United.

So sign him when he's just been brilliant at Southampton, not when he's flopped and done nothing for 1.5 seasons #noambition

To be fair if a manager does not give you a chance it is hard to prove yourself. I think he is an alright player, but needs to be in a decent side as he is not a stand out star who can carry a team.

Koeman's preferred formation is 4-3-3 with the midfield 3 being a holding player and 2 further forwards either side of him.

Schneiderlin was more of a box to box player at Soton as Wanyama did most of the donkey work in CM.

What we lack is the creative CM player, we chased Mata last summer, and it's that kind of player we've been crying out for since Arteta's heyday.

TBF he did nothing last season either despite a lot of chances

Everton need proper investment, Moshiri promised proper investment, Schneiderlin is not proper investment

2 years from now Everton are going to be wondering why they're paying a couple of 30+ CDMs best part of £200kpw to have no legs

Didn't you sign Coutinho after he'd bombed at Inter and had been loaned out?

Man Utd have always been terrible at getting the best out of non conventional wide players. The likes of Di Maria, Depay, Mata, Mkhitaryan & Kagawa were all great players before going to Man Utd (and after in the case of ones who left) yet they've never hit the heights at Man Utd because for whatever reason Man Utd so I don't think he would be a terrible choice to go for as a relatively cheap risk free loan.

Yes and he's been with us for 5 seasons. And still 3 years younger than Schneiderlin. #ouch

You mean he's letting his cash rest in your account for tax purposes but can repay himself at any time <laugh>

He can't repay himself at any time, there's no terms of repayment been set. Once he picks up the rest of the shares it'll no doubt be converted into equity.

    Seasons Coutinho has played for us: 12/13, 13/14, 14/15, 15/16, 16/17 <ok>

#thepoint is your squad is already one of the oldest in the league and your solution is a 27 year old
