Some of the top European and S.American teams should not qualify for the next 1 possibly 2 world cups and hold their own competition at the same time. Hopefully this would cause sufficient damage to the existing FIFA and it would be scrapped with a newly elected football commitee taking it's place.

Sorry I can't find the original article I read at work but it was on an Italian site....I think...definitely about equipment regulations.

A quick look up of the FIFA handbook and it looks like they've been caught out under if I've got the correct one, FIFA "Equipment Regulations" as they didn't seek a ruling under the "Approval Requirements"
Section 1 Sub-sections 58+......... Cut & dried, BUT there is a right of appeal.
