Have to say that I thought Ibra would be running out of steam around this time of year given how much he's played...

Still has 5 months worth of games to play.

What's Mourinho like for rotating? as that might **** him up eventually.

    That aimed at me?

If so why? All I asked was what's Mourinho like for rotating, unless you think Ibra can last 5 months.

There was a lot of hope in your post there. Ibrah is the Chuck Norris of football. He doesn't run out of steam; steam runs out of him <cool>

Fair play to him.....but time will catch up with him at some point. He's surprised me this season already. Rooney would do well to watch and learn how he looks after himself.

Tbh I still feel he stifles our play. Having this "debate" on our board for a while. The trouble is, the team is being built around him. Everything has to go through him. Yes he'll score loads, but if he doesn't score nobody else does (to a certain extent). I was saying he needs to be rested and Rashford played through the centre. In short, if we do rotate him, I'll be happy.

As for Rooney, he really is a better player when Mkhytarian is playing. Them two, Mata and then either Ibrah or Rashford is a great balance.

    agreed -see also C Ronaldo

However on Ibra from what i've seen of ManU he isn't exactly exerting himself that much per game is he

I genuinely wouldn't want Ibra near my team. But that's more because I like the fast flowing and pressing football, not something he (or Balotelli / Carroll / Benteke / Lambert) offers

Excellent player (obviously) in the right team though

He does press and his work rate is very good tbf. The idea that he doesn't exert himself because he's not bombing forward is a little unfair. He tracks back constantly, chasing lost causes, and he's done that from day 1. But I agree about the fast flowing football when your team has possession. Quick pass and move. That's exactly what annoys me sometimes... that and the fact he makes the simple look like a work of art when he doesn't need to. <ok>

You see more of him then I do but I wouldn't say he presses, I'd say he cuts out the pass options. Still works but not as much as a Tevez, Suarez, etc (not many players do tbf. Plus Ibra is older than Hitler!)

Yeh all true. But he also chases back to win the ball back in midfield. He's not a player that stands around waiting for others, which is the difference. I criticise him at times for over-complicating stuff and his passing at times, but I can't fault his workrate.

I think there's a reason Man Utd by the middle of September had covered less ground than any other premier league team though. He's probably working as hard as he can but I don't think its ever going to be close to the amount of miles younger, more agile players of the league are covering.

Why on earth would you want your players to "cover miles"?
The idea of the game is to keep possession and score goals, if the other team is chasing the ball around the pitch then all is well because they will tier first and start to leave gaps.
An ancient sage once said "let the ball do the work" and he was right <ok>

(if we ever want to win the most miles run trophy we can always sign Usain Bolt, he is desperate to play for us and could come on for the last 15mins of games to bring the stats up :bandit:)

if on average everyone covers 11km per game then unless you are messi (who does 6) you'd better be mathcing your opposition.

    simple.

you can't keep possession without moving.

in the end if my team can cover 12km in a game and yours tires on 70mins then you will probably get chances late.

funny how a utd fan doesn't seem to recognise why utd scored so many late goals and dominated the 1990s totally by being better athletes and more professional

The contrast in wathing LFC with puddings like dicks, stweart, ruddock etc playing while utd had atheltes in thier team was plain to see.
