Sunderland are set to reignite their pursuit of Romania international Nicolae Stanciu in January after missing out in the summer. Stanciu penned a five-year contract upon his switch from Steaua Bucharest and has performed well in the Pro League, scoring five times and recording four assists in 20 appearances. Despite the midfielder only recently making a move, reports suggest Sunderland will look to test Anderlecht's resolve by offering in the region of £10million for his services in January. Black Cats boss David Moyes is thought to have only a small budget to work with but is ready to spend big to land a player he hopes can ease his team's goal troubles.
