As from tomorrows game we will no longer need codes, sounds like a recipe for disaster. Also sounds like the EFL are not expecting the grounds to be open any time soon. https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2020/october/changes-to-ifollow-process/
grumpygit - my exact thoughts when I 'stumbled' across the story --- you'd think that Gills would have sent STH an email - instead of finding out at 12.50pm tomorrow - when the system will go into meltdown..... .... This may the straw that breaks this angry camel's back -- if I don't get my ifoolow *without any problems, then (a) - I probably won't have missed much, (b), it will result in me asking for a refund - I'll spend the money on 'proper' football ... I was spoiled in midweek - watching Barcelona embarrass Juventus -- I don't think the ball went off the deck - until Messi put his penalty in towards the top left corner of the goal ( in between the posts and crossbar ! ) * - tried to be 'clever' -- I'm not sure if it worked
Always, I have already sent the ticket office a email, my ifollow account shows nothing to suggest anything has changed. Indeed at the moment I can subscribe to the Sunderland game if I pay £10. There must be some way of knowing before 12.50 tomorrow, if this will work or not.
Let us know if you get a reply -- before I go mad at 12.50 tomorrow ...... when - mysteriously, The Gills Office will not be answering any calls.
I'm still waiting for an answer, in the meantime have you checked your account and detected any differences ?
Answers = Yes, and No !..... that doesn't mean that there won't be any problems ----- I might have to use the £ 10 note I found when I went for a walk out there, in a park - absolutely nobody anywhere near........... I'm not actually going to keep it - I will add it to my normal charity donations.
I never did get a satisfactory answer from the club over how you could tell whether or not your season ticket was registered with ifollow. However, I have found out for myself, that if you look at your account details by selecting your name when logged in (top right hand), then select purchased packages and it should show season ticket, Gillingham, active.
I did - it does - but I went to my son's house to watch with him --- we only needed to change email address on his device......... now I have to persuade him to change it back again tomorrow - otherwise I 'll get billed on my credit card ! ... before you ask how I can let him pay for the game --- trust me -- I have given both my sons six figures of cash... They own 5 businesses between them & earn huge amounts compared with me --- and all of the time, I still end up buying their tickets for matches (( no wonder Scally is pleading poverty ))
