How could Dennis and Dean's karaoke version of Roy Orbison's in dreams be omitted from such a list?

It was as safe as f*** to go in the water at one time.
Then along came the music for Jaws.
Water has never been the same again.

Westerns are always good for music.

The Magnificent Seven. Brilliant, and my current ringtone.
    Annoying for some.

Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' was also used for 'The Elephant Man'.

    A lovely piece of music

Not perhaps the best Bond film, but here's Maccas take on a familiar theme.

As I wrote earlier I think the music often makes the film.
But, I am also completely ignorant to who actually composes the music as I've never really took that much interest in who the composers are.
Much to my loss I would say.

Having taken the time to read up on John Williams tonight, I was amazed to find both the number and quality of the films for which he has composed the music. Maybe I'll take notice a bit more in future.

Here is another from John Williams.

Yeah. He has dabbled a bit hasn't he? <laugh>

I believe he turned 80 either at the beginning of this year or the end of last year.

I knew the person who played trumpet on the Star Wars soundtrack.
His first note with the orchestra was that screamer at the beginning.
Apparently, when John Williams heard it in the studio, he is supposed to have said, " I thought that would sound good, but not that good."

Just realised that on BBC4 there was a proms feature on Film Music.
Started at 7:30pm tonight. Now watching the end of it. I forgot it was on <doh> <grr>.

Will definitely be watching it on Iplayer if it's shown.

Some of the music featured: Battle of Britain, Star Wars, Independence Day.
