Anyone want to put forward names for the next permanent (contracted) manager when Ole goes?

Might ZZ get Jobseekers Allowance - that could make all the difference?

Nah, he cool mate. Just tryin to think why a successful manager would take a caretaker job at a team/club that have done **** all for a few years.
Once he has thought of a way to justify that the thread will be re-opened.

The odd thing is that glazer disappears when we lose. But when we win, he turns up with “then who?” question. Then Diego jumps along while Christian tries ever so hard to appear objective yet fails at it by suggesting to know precisely what the board is thinking. At least Christian stays around regardless of win or loss.

I still enjoy all you illogical knuckleheads! :D

It's been done to death previously, just because you and the other idiot can't be arsed or haven't got the ability to read back on a couple of live threads doesn't mean that this 'discussion' has never taken place.

Why the **** should we keep having to repeat it, in crayon preferably, because you pair can't keep up and demand it?

Point 1, which was made at the time.
While Solskjaer was in temporary charge, the club should have been out there recruiting for a full time long term manager.

Instead, they foolishly jumped at giving Solskjaer the job full time after a few wins. We then began losing games and alarm bells were ringing, but it was too late.

During this time, the Pochettino's, Nagleseman's, Tuchel's, even Ancelotti's of this world have been available and moved jobs.

Instead, we had employed Ole. Wrongly.

We are now approaching a situation where Ole might be relieved of his duties, so we would need a manager mid season. Again.

This time when the manager is given the job until the end of the season (that person could be Zidane, who is not in work) the club should not repeat the mistake of giving that person the job immediately but should then begin RECRUITING for the next long term manager.

The person in charge till the end of the season is included in that recruitment, and may well even get the job.
But not get the job if he wins five games!

Now, the people named above are no longer available but there is no harm in giving one or two a call to see if it is feasible that they be interested next season?

Plus, they have a good look across Britain and Europe for other suitable options.

Because guess what, that's how recruitment works.

I hope I have explained all this in basic enough terms for you to understand?

The why is obvious by the way.

Because he has hit the limit of his capabilities and things aren't going to get better.

More than happy to stand by that comment and seen if that's proven to be correct or not at end of season.

    I'd wager I'm correct.

Love this thread. Keeps me entertained whilst I’m stuck at home with a bloody cold (well at least I hope it’s only a ****ing cold!). My mood is now up (helped of course by Atalanta:) )

Not read the last few days posts until this morning. The highly anticipated handbag fight between Tyson Fury aka Diego Fodder and Deontay Wilder aka Chief Treble has at last happened. And the winner is….

Have to give it to Fury for engineering the win despite being knocked down. <applause> Wilder though unsportingly refused to acknowledge defeat will come back.

Suddenly we are confronted with the question that HAS to be answered. If we get rid of the manager now (mid season not at the end) who do we get ? And how can we be sure he’ll be BETTER than the current one? We’ve had lots of managers who were all brilliant on paper but turned out to be disasters despite winning trophies. Anyone who says he doesn’t care who or anyone would be better is not being serious and is being flippant.

Anyone wanting the manager to be sacked mid season so as not to waste yet another season HAS to propose a credible alternative. Saying that it is not their job to do that is not allowed nor saying we can get Poch or Pep (as that is not realistic).

It's all being discussed in the other thread for **** sake.

This is why I closed it in the first place, so we can have ONE where this is talked about.

Sorry. Zidane immediately fails the realistic criterion I’m afraid. Anyone thinking or believing that a 3 times CL winner who has managed Real Madrid would be willing to be an interim for 6 months and then be included in a group of possible candidates for the permanent job needs to have his head examined.
