Going for a 0-1 to us - dominate throughout, first half goal and then can't kill them off but hang on for the win

I haven't seen a lot of games over the last few months and like I said Power has received some stick for performances.
Probably justified, i have seen a couple.
My point was I like him as he's been a good player for us which is why I said I hope he improves under Johnson and gets back to his best or better.
Not just judge him as being crap overall.
Yes it's nice to see him have a good game at RB instead of CM.
He's not the only player we have who seems to have suffered under Parkinson.
Hopefully a big improvement of all the players now under the new regime.

And a reminder of what power offered.

Good point and one I can't disagree with ever though the attitude of some players has been poor.

But, if they can be done, it's cheaper and quicker to improve them than replace them.

How the hell can Grigg, for example, be so lethargic and poor, he's better than he's playing ...

... but if it's an attitude problem get him out asap.

I don't really remember ever being that impressed with him tbh and it's been over two years since that article, he's been getting gradually less effective since then. Top lad though and a positive influence on his teammates no doubt about that.

Seems like he might be getting set up to make the RB slot his own, apparently when Cook managed him at Wigan he was prepping him for it until he signed some **** hot RB and it never happened.

    There you said it, "
no doubt about him being a positive influence."
So you're impressed with him too in some way

Nothing much changed from last league thread
Still very much a work in progress for LJ. But I just get the feeling he knows exactly what's needed and he starting to get there
still struggling to see who's going to score but I have. A feeling we might see a good performance this week
    2 0 to the lads

Cracking thread as always. Another difficult one but I do think we will be to strong and come out as 2-0 winners.

I’m going for a win. It’s time we started seeing the benefit of the manager’s new broom.
    Must win for me.

Also, the players are going from sub zero temperatures to the balmy South. That should put an extra spring in their steps. :1980_boogie_down:

Great thread as usual RTB. Really look forward to reading them.

I don't care how we do it - in off someone's arse, off a beach ball or whatever, but we must win the game tomorrow. Even a half decent run of form over the last 5 weeks would have seen us right up there, because of other sides inconsistencies.

I, like others on here, thought we would really kick on after the Lincoln result, but we haven't. Let's hope we can get an early goal and add to it tomorrow. I'll go 2-0 to the Lads!

There's snow forecast down here tomorrow. i live a mile or so from the old kingstonian ground they were using, so was gonna wander over there for my daily walk, with some ladders.
The buggers have moved back to plough lane though, snuffs that idea out. stream time...

It's crazy mate, every team above us have lost more games.

I know it's an old cliché but a striker would see us promoted.

Hmmm not too sure about that - the forecast looked like we might have snow down here tomorrow morning, hopefully it melts by 1 o'clock.

    Don't say that mate.

    I'm in a French lockdown, there's a 6pm to 6am curfew and I've paid for a season stream ...

... if the game is called off I might get drunk and end up hoying rocks at the moon again.
