I wonder if there has ever been a bigger swing between scores in successive seasons? 13 goals.

good thought. a lot of the time when we've had a big win the other game the same season has been close.

not quite the same thing, but the first time we lost 0-8 was in november 1911 at wolves and four months later at our place we won 3-0.

in the 2007-8 promotion to the prem season, we lost 0-4 at southampton in the december and beat them 5-0 in the march.

the only season we've scored more than 4 in both games against another team was when we beat orient 5-4 away (after being 1-4 down) and 5-1 at home.

Great result tonight. Just hope it’s given the forwards a confidence lift. Will settle for 5 one nils now.

So much for all these Doncaster 'games in hand' being a guaranteed 3 points. Not just as simple in reality.

I've been saying that for the last few weeks.
Games in hand don't guarantee points.
Is that 3 defeats on the spin for Donny.
We need to press them into submission on Satdee

Let's hope they lose their next game in hand as well seeing it's against City!

All this talk about Donny losing games in hand is very odd. They're just losing.

We were very disjointed for the first 25 minutes but once that first goal went in they remembered how to win, and what a massive difference it made having Alfie in for the injured Smallwood, and Crowley sat on the bench whilst Honeyman resumed normal service.

    UTT!

Yes,and if they keep 'just losing' and teams above them just keep winning then the gap widens and the games in hand are useless. They've lost 3 on the trot and we need to make that 4 and shut the door on them!!

Currently, we are 4 points better than Donny but with the goal difference it is equal to 5.
To get the 5 points it is win 2 of the 3 or win 1 and draw 2.
    Not easy at all.

So, satdees game is massive and is a must not lose sort of game.
If they win they are 1 point behind us (2 with the goal diff).
If we win they are 7 points behind (8 with the goal diff).
So, 8 points with 3 games in hand is a tall order.
Please Mr McCann as a bare minimum don't lose on Satdee.

UTT and well done to the whole team for defending from the front and well done to Wilksy for putting the **** up them every time he ran at them.
Could so easily have been 10 tonight but let's focus on what we did right tonight.

    Donny Osmond Rovers 0
    Rod Hull City 3
