On Bristol Rovers club president Wael Al Qadi has written an open letter to all supporters. It covers the departure of Paul Tisdale the appointment of JB and his commitment to the Rovers, worth a read

I thought that was a good read, and took it to be a genuine letter from a genuine bloke. I must admit, if the likely happens, and we are relegated this season, I feel reasonably optimistic about the future - more so than if no statement had been made, or the tone of his letter had been negative or defeatist.

To be fair he couldn’t have said much else - disappointed this, hopeful that etc.

It’s good that he’ll continue to support the club financially but we’ve not exactly been setting the football world alight under his stewardship.

This season has been a shambles. In fact from when Coughlan left us in 4th it’s just been a total ****show. I really worry what relegation will do to our club.

It is a good letter. But like Bluebaldee said above, he couldn't have really said anything different. If he did then he would get it big time from the fans. He admitted mistakes. Can you imagine if he stood by his decisions? He said whatever happens that he will continue to support Rovers. Can you imagine if he said he wouldn't? He said the roof has finally come on at the training ground. Can you imagine if he said there would be no roof now <laugh>

I like what he said about the recruitment process behind getting Barton but I just disagree that it had to be Barton. I think there are many other managers around who would fit the requirements without the needed baggage that Barton brings.

Yes. This letter is basically warning us that the upcoming season ticket prices will be out soon and to expect a rise in the price.

I didn’t realise that the club was at war with the Supporters Club. That’s not very good.

They have been at war for a while. The supporters club went to the EFL and said Wael is not fit and proper to run the club and the EFL dismissed it immediately. Not sure how long ago it was but some time ago anyway. Supporters club got themselves to blame here.
