See the goalposts are moving already no doubt with the new training ground, Nolan and Barton new contracts we will be fed the line that the 35 million has to be invested wisely ho ho in Ashleys back pocket as usual. What about the Sky Money, season ticket money on top . Lets be honest he thinks NUFC are mugs and will put up with anything and he is probably right. Lets hope he is looking to find a new buyer that would be the biggest present the fat **** could give us. Pardew just does what he is told I suppose and no doubt we will have the usual transfer window where we start with names like Gervinho and work our way down to freebies like Jay Bothroyd happy days.............

I disagree, we'll see some new faces without a doubt. Defo a couple of freebies a la Larsson, Elmander but Ashley knows he has to speculate to accumulate. He'll want a late surge in season ticket sales spurred on by some big(ish) signings and he knows full well he needs to keep the fans on his side. We won't see £35mil but most would be happy with the £20mil mentioned.

I know you've been burned by Ashley in the past. We all have. But for the love of god man you're the most pessimistic toon supporter I've ever come across.

I don't think anything would ever make you happy. Even if Ashley invested a billion quid.

Just stop being bloody miserable and have some optimism for once. We know the money is there, Pards has been promised it and it's been personally mentioned by both him and players numerous times in the media. There is no way on gods earth it will fall through now. I know the money will be there, but my only worry is HOW it is spent. That's it.

Lets wait until the transfer window is shut and then assess what we have brought in, and what the club has shipped out. We need to strengthen for next season as i don't want us to suffer the 'second season syndrome' which it seems Wolves has now. I agree with your point on money, sports direct is up on their profits and we will receive money for regaining our premier league status, not forgetting TV revenue, but let's wait and see i guess.

The sad thing is, this would not surprise me. Bah I really hope that fat nonce biscuit sells up. To tell you the truth, I expect us to spend no more than about 10 million net.

I can see us getting Gervinho. I have a good feeling that him or Sow will join us. 2 strikers are needed and a defender. RM may be needed but I think the squad has quality to push us up the table. You talk about freebies but they do improve the depth of the squad and Larsson is not a bad player.

What I see happening is us spending £20 million on players, which I think is pathetic, but others seem to be delighted by so, I dunno. If it was spent wisely I'd have no problems though. What I don't want to see is Elmander, Larsson, etc, just because they're free. They're no better than what we have. Bring in 5/6 quality players and I'll be delighted regardless of money spent

Most pessismistic toon fan ever!! thats what 40+ years does for you supporting the toon just wish for once I was totally wrong and he did the business. Everything is in place to take us up to the next level but we are talking about Ashley and Also is Pardew the man to let loose with cash even if it is in place to spend. But my friend Chappaz if it dosen't happen surely even you will then criticise Saint Mike!!

Chappaz has openly criticized MA before, most of us have, but what he's saying is that he'll lose alot more money by not investing in the squad so shares our common interest of wanting to achieve success. For him it's long-term financial game, for us it's hopefully silverware.

Yeah he's ****ed things up, but as AP has said, Ashley does have the clubs interests at heart, because they're HIS interests. You make it sound like he's purposely trying to sabotage the club and **** up his own investment.

All I know are a few things:

    • We have £35mill
    • Pards has been given £20mill of the Carroll money to spend. The rest on wages. This may include additional pre-planned transfer money.
    • We're scouting Europe
    • We have Carr, who is a top scouting talent
    • We've been heavily linked to some very good players across the continent
    • Pards has spoke heavily about what we need next season. Everyone agrees.

I'm optimistic. And sorry, but "It's Ashley" is not a good enough reason to automatically assume that all of these things are a bunch of lies.
