If Mr Short does stump up tho, and we do get perhaps seasoned pro's on short contracts to get us up and running, just think of the experience our young'uns will be able to pick up on. Could be good news in disguise?

I think it's a tad unfair to be saying that he is coming out with the excuses already. SB has said that he needs up to 8 players in the tranfer window and then in the next breath he is told by his medical staff that he can add a further 5 to his wish list, making it 13 potential signings required!

This is a near impossible situation for him to resolve, because I suspect that he is going to fall well short of the funds required to fill the gaps in the squad. If he goes for the extra 5 players as cover for the injured players, we are eventually going to end up in the same situation we had with Roy Keane, far too many players on the books drawing their wages every week and sitting in the reserves when our regulars are fit again.

Although I am not SB's biggest fan, I can feel a certain amount of sympathy for his predicament.

Funny how we have no injuries this week after a win.

I would show sympathy if we knew the funds were not forthcoming. The thing is we don't know what is available which is a good thing as it only lets other clubs aware of what we have and allows them to increase their valuations of players. I do think that if Short does stump up a considerable sum he WILL be expecting a return in better attendances and better results.

Heard this on the radio this morning and thought that it was Bruce getting his excuses in early for next season also sounded like he was throwing the towel in already for next season. I've said before he needs to think before he says stuff like this in interviews it will only alienate more people from him, also heard something about a top ten finish. That would mean us winning our last 2 games and other teams losing theirs not impossible but, I can't remember us winning 3 in a row since we were in the Fizzy pop anybody else?
