Papers have rumoured we may be in for one or both of these Fulham strikers, whilst I would welcome both which would you go for if only one was available? I think Zamora would suit the 4-2-3-1 formation better as he's a handful with such a physical presence, whereas Johnson is a quicker instinctive type of striker. A good pairing if it's 4-4-2 at home.
Zamora, he's more consistent and less injury prone. But really, I wished we had signed Shane Long. He would of suited us perfectly.
Given the players we currently have I'd rather Johnson myself. Bothroyd is a poor man's Zamora so they could form a similar partnership in theory.
None of them. We should be looking at better quality, younger and hungrier, not almost has beens looking for a pay day,
That would be the ideal situation in the summer, we are in a position where we have to bring in proven quality in January when not too many of the best will be available. Zamora fell out with Jol at Spurs so his arrival at Fulham suggests he may be on his way soon. I think he's improved over the years and would give us some presence up front that is currently missing.
I too think that Zamora would be better as the 1 up front in our 4-2-3-1 than any of the players we currently have.
Zamora if pushed, but we will be saddled with another big earner on a long contract, which is what both of these guys will be after at this stage of their careers. I have no idea whether we have any scouting going on overseas, but I would prefer to be taking a few risks on foreigners. Also notice Danny Graham had a good game today.....
Hi guys Fulham fan here. Current rumours are sparked by agents and contract negotiaions. SB73 is spot on, these guys are looking for £50k a week and minimum 3-4 year contracts at 29/30 yrs old. I'd like them to stay with us, though many Fulham fans don't rate AJ - I think that's all about injuries and him playing too few games.
I think for as little as £1 million he would be worth a gamble even as a squad player... http://www.people.co.uk/sport/footb...ve-fulham-for-just-1-million-102039-23507234/
I think reading between the lines, they had a 'quiet' row... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...-insists-he-is-not-a-bully-article817925.html
If i had to choose i'd go for Zamora, simply because he has more to his game also Zamora is pretty much in the same mould as bothroyd. But to be honest i'd rather aim a bit higher as neither are that prolific.
