Yun confirmed to play

QPR’s Yun Suk-young will be available for the Championship play-off final at Wembley, Harry Redknapp has confirmed.


Fifa rules meant South Korea could have stopped the left-back playing against Derby on Saturday because the match falls within a designated ‘official rest period’ for all players selected for the World Cup, the only exception being the Champions League final.

Rangers were previously given permission by Croatia to select Niko Kranjcar and were confident Yun, 24, would also be allowed to play.

A formal request was made to the Korea Football Association last week and QPR manager Redknapp’s assistant Kevin Bond held talks with South Korea assistant coach Kim Tae-young.

“It’s fantastic that the Korean manager has allowed him to stay and be part of our team,” said Redknapp.

I (and most certainly Yun) will be gutted should he not start (or play).

I just hope that Harry does not go for a creative solution and play BAE, or play three centre backs!!!
