Youth

With Nigel having restrictions in the transfer market it will put a bigger importance on the youth academy. Players like Tom Hopper and George Taft have been on the fringes for ages but never looked like breaking through. I think its make or break year for them at Leicester City.

Harry Panayioutou made a scoring debut but he has never been seen since. Jacob Blyth impressed for the development squad last season so maybe he could be the next to make the step up. Joe Dodoo impressed aswell as academy player of the year Michael Cain.

Last season saw Liam Moore breakthrough and Jeff Schlupp the year before.

Since Nigel came here first time around aswell he has given youth a chance whether they came from our academy like Andy King, Liam Moore, Jeff Schlupp, Max Gradel or Joe Mattock or signed from somewhere else.

So who do people think will make the step up next? I think Joe Dodoo sounds the best prospect of the lot

 

I think youth may be the way forward.

Would like to see more of Moore this coming season, and think we will in our current situation.

Would also be nice to see Tom Hopper or George Taft make an appearance or two, just to see how good they are, and if they have a chance of making the step up.

 

Anyone know whether Conor Clifford who we signed in January has been retained? He was in the development squad too, haven't seen his name on the released list (not that we've really seen any).

 

He signed until the end of the season so his contract is up unless he signed a new one without the club making it public. His name wasnt on the released list so your guess is as good as mine

Pier Larrauri is the one we should be raving about apparently.

 

Hope Moore gets the same kind of oppertunity he did last season.

 

Didn't he go to Mexico? Or was that just a loan? We always seem to get some nicely-named players through the academy, not that it matches Naughty Naughty or whatever he's called on another thread.

 

Well, currently he's tied with Zak Whitbread for Morgan's partner as we don't look like signing anyone else! Need to keep a hold of him, he'll only get better.

 

Dont forget Sean St. Ledger and we might see Michael Keane return
