Agree. Let's just hope Pulis plays Jermaine and Matty all the time, we always play so much better when they're playing. One of the most pleasing aspects of the day for me, and there were many, was that we played much better stuff today instead of just playing mindless hoofs up the field.
In essence more right than wrong re our style of play. To be balanced though at times TP did start with two wingers but ineffectual central midfield play and poor retention of possession meant that they were not in some games, leading to a reversion to a tighter format. Fear is the biggest factor in my view and at times TP gets scared of losing. Interesting that most of our top class attacking displays have been in the cup when he knows he may as well go for it. We are still short in centre mid and at full back at least.
What worries me though is they both get taken off with 20 minutes to go when we are leading and more often than not we end up conceding late on because we then sit back and let the opposition run at us time and again!
I don't believe it is solely due to having two wingers in the team, ofcourse it as been a massive boost but bringing back Higgy as made a surprisingly enormous difference at the back for me and also the increasing improvement of Walters as started to bare fruits up front. We still need better in the middle of the park thats where we really need to improve.
