    Next season!

It's not that long ago I was down at Yoevil to watch a FA Cup game on the ski slope (which we comfortably won) and now here they are - in the Championship.
Fantastic achievement but got to feel so sorry for Brentford, having been 30 seconds away from promotion two weekends ago and now they have to do it all again.

Yeah, gutted for Adeyemi and co, but Yeovil's rise is quite remarkable.

Gary Johnson is a great manager and he deserves all the accolades. He is an ipswich fan as well! I have met him a few times when he was at Cambridge Utd. A top bloke and good luck to him!

I have followed Yeovil's progress since they were in the Conference and I'm delighted for them on achieving Championship status. They are another club who prove it's a myth that you have to have a foreign oligarch or benefactor at the helm, pumping millions into a club to achieve success. Average home gates of 4K have done nothing to stop them playing a decent brand of football and believe that what they are doing is right.
Gary Johnson wandered away from the club to manage Bristol City, nearly made it to the Prem, got the sack and has returned home to Yeovil and passed Bristol City in the opposite direction. And Wolves of course.
    Well done Glovers.

Can't see them doing too well in the championship next season though, the step up in quality between leagues gets bigger every season.

With all due respect, there are some very big teams (let's not get too hung up on what makes a team big, but history and fan base certainly contribute) in that division with international players who, I feel, will probably rip them apart.

The parachute payments are ever increasing which, arguably, only serves to make that gap incrementally larger with every passing season.

I wish them all the luck but I feel their stay will be short and probably quite painful.
