Anyone remeber him playing for Saints ? - he is at Aberdeen now, making a comeback from a bad leg break a few months ago. He seemed to follow Luggy around like his love-child for a while (Saints, Sheff Wed, Plymouth - I think). What was he like ?
Another one that looked good for the U18's and Youth Team and didn't really do badly on the few occasions for the first team... but was just the wrong time to be breaking through into the first team when the club was in a mess. Still think it's a fine line between those youngsters who time it right and go onto great things and those who don't necessarily get the breaks (no pun intended) when they play their first games and end up struggling for confidence and then form and once on a slippery slope down the leagues, its quite rare for it be turned round. I'd defo put Lloyds James in that bracket, looked the complete midfielder for the reserves, but got played out of position in the first team and was no going back from that point. I appreciate the level of football between reserves and proper first team can be huge, but you can still judge a players touch, composure and vision quite well even if the games aren't mega-high-intensity.
