    Match Preview;
    So this Saturday we travel to the oldest international football ground currently in use, as the Racecourse hosted a Wales match in 1877, to face Wrexham. Wrexham have one won, drawn one and lost one in their last three...although their last match was the win, 0-2 at Millwall. Wrexham brought in 13 players over the summer, see list below if you are interested. Their manager, Phil Parkinson, achieved his sixth career promotion when Wrexham finished second in League One last year...and also achieved his third consecutive promotion, having taken over the club in the National League in 2021. Now, forgive me for not jumping on the bandwagon here, but I find the whole thing a bit of a farce. Some Hollywood actors, one relatively famous, the other I'd never heard of before he took over the club, invest in the club and the town, and have it all covered in a documentary...is this really what football has come to? Maybe I'm just jealous because after nearly twenty years of having investors, we've got nothing to show for it...but it just seems a bit patronising and giving in to Hollywood really. It'll all be great until they get bored and move on. Am I just a cynic?...discuss.

    As for us, a really good response against to Charlton after the thrashing at Coventry...and some exciting attacking play, which was so good to see. Dembele, Poku, Saito, Chair and Kone, to name but a few, give us a real threat going forward, and it was particularly encouraging to see Kone get off the mark. Long may that continue, and I do hope that we won't go into away games and try to sit behind the ball and soak up pressure, because I still don't have complete confidence that our defence can withstand pressure for too long without conceding.

    Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you are making the journey, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    List of Wrexham's summer signings, all of whom have gone there for footballing reasons, of course;
    Ryan Hardie, Danny Ward, Liberato Cacace, George Thomason, Josh Windass, Lewis O'Brien, Conor Coady, Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead, Callum Doyle, Ben Sheaf, Dom Hyam, Issa Kabore (loan).

    Nice one Dave

    I don't begrudge them their celebrity owners/investment but as SB said above, a cheeky away win would be lovely

    A long, long shot but if anyone does have a spare I’d be most grateful. Don’t think I’ve ever failed to get in one way or another but they’re gold dust.

    3 of us going from here. Flying into Liverpool and train down.

    We were blessed to get tickets. Luckily, we managed to get three, one of which was a return from the Box Office. Good luck to everybody trying for tickets.

    Windlass is 31 and Moore 33. I'm guessing others they've signed are younger?

    Either way, 'I'd luv it if we beat them'!

    No. Fawa’s stream for Coventry was good enough.
