Zelic has to be the overall winner but in recent years does SWP have any real competition. How many years and money are we stuck with him for?
The problem is that even as bad as he is at the moment he is still better than anything else we have. We are stuck with him until we can get better in. He is also not being helped by being played out of position every buckin match.
I think once MH has got the players he wants in he'll get the best out of SWP and possibly improve some of the underperformers as some will have to stay...
FFS, how am i going to sleep tonight now that i have mike sherons name back in my head. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Where to start.... Gus Caesar (thankfully only a loan) Richard Orr (never played a competitive match - bad luck injury) Ned Zelic (as versatile as an egg - just couldn't play football!) Simon Osborne (another who couldn't settle and played better else where) Mark Hateley (Andy Carroll's dad - similar record for QPR as he has for Liverpool) My word, all three signed by Ray Wilkins.... Mike Sheron (scored for fun for Man City and Stoke, but just couldn't for us) Brett Angel (in context of our position at the time much was expected) John Curtis (as above, in context more was expected from the man always referred to by his Man Utd pedigree) Nick Ward (supposedly the finest export from Australia since Wolf Blass.....) Alessandro Pellicori (say no more.... I think Paladini might have been involved in this one!) Daniel Parejo (Real Madrid, but not the real deal!)
nick ward plays just fine for wellington we even had an ex qpr goalie for a while..name escapes me for the moment
To be fair to Nick Ward, he was signed as a centre midfield player but never actually played there for us, he played as a winger!! Simon Walton was a Leeds player of immense potential as in the Leeds side of the 90's but never fulfilled his potential although he got the model girlfriend. Daniel Pajero - was a young 18 year old when he came over to us. He is a talented player but just not suited to Championship football plus too young to live in London on his own. He is doing well in Spain. Sheron is the one that cost mega bucks - I remember watching him warm up, and then tear his stomach mussel...and we had only just parted with cash. Some of the players mentioned came to us at a time when we were struggling - Steve Morrow another that cost cash from Arsenal under Houston & Bruce..... Finally, apologies Nuts, didn't mean to give you nightmares with the mention of Sheron
