Drivers are worse the further South you go, type of car, age, gender it doesn't matter. Why is it that most drivers, if not all, observe the Highway Code for One Way streets, but, once in a car park, countless seem to think it's ok to ignore the arrows and road markings? Why do all the perfect drivers seem to think it's ok to ignore 20mph signs past schools etc? Not to mention the nutters driving through roadworks in excess of the specified speed limit?
I'm going to take up two bays in supermarket car parks from now on. The latest mark appeared on our car door yesterday, some twat at Asda hitting the front passenger door, marking it and ****ing off without owning up. What a kunt. PS, yes, Asda is ****.
No but I will say his VW Passat will blow away nearly all comers of similar type in a straight race. So not only is he a terrible driver who wants to go fast, he has the means to do so. I didn't know Passats were that quick or that nice inside to be honest. Every mod con going and 0-60 in about 6 seconds. Then he had it remapped...
I shouldn't look at this thread as its reminding me all the things drivers do which piss me off. Yellow boxes junction, they apparently serve no purpose in the eyes of some. There is one in the centre of Jesmond at Portland Terrace which is possibly the most annoying example on the planet. I think if you park in a yellow box you should be instantly banned from driving forever for being a ******ed ****er. They wouldn't do it in London where the councils have control over them and have cameras up. You get fined if you stop in them illegally. They want the powers up here instead of the police handling it. However some motorists are claiming its a money making exercise. Really? If no one parks in them no one will make them any money so why don't you **** off with excuses for your **** driving.
For me, the biggest dickheads on the roads are those drivers (normally blokes, aged about 35, any make of car) who pretend they don't know the written or unwritten rules of give way. This really makes me For example earlier today I stopped to give way at the bottom of a hill, maybe 150 yards long, with parked cars on the right hand side as I'm going up. There is only enough room for single lane traffic either way. I then move off, a white van enters the road oncoming to me but ignores the fact that I'm on the road and the vehicles are parked on his side coming down. He then ignores two chances to pull in and continues down towards me. I have to pull onto the narrow path on my left to get past this knob while giving him daggers. The thicko just looks at me as if to say he's not to blame. Arse holes like this really don't deserve to be on the road, just give way ffs. I presume they wouldn't drive like this if they were driving a bus, for example, otherwise they would create mayhem with such an attitude. All this suggests they know what they are doing.
You lot wouldn’t last a day driving here. All courtesy goes out the window when you get in the car. There are several important rules to remember: 1)Flashing your lights means - get out of the way I am not stopping. 2) Never indicate when changing lanes as someone will try and stop you doing it. 3) If an accident occurs the person to blame is the one with the most money. 4) On a four lane road always drive in Lane 2, lane 1 is for food stalls, lane 4 is for people wanting to turn right, lane 3 is for people wanting to turn right who cant be bothered waiting in the queue in Lane 4 5) traffic lights are not obligatory on Sundays or after 11pm at night 6) motorcyclists do not have to follow any traffic rules 7) maximum number of people on a motorbike is 4 (6 on a Sunday).
