This is how it will work if you are lucky enough to get into the top 8 by the end of the second round matches.

You will be paired according to league ranking, so 1 plays 8, 2 plays 7 and so on, and will be given a match at random to make your predo on. You make a prediction on the scoreline of the match, and if that is the score after full-time or extra-time, you are the winner. In addition, the player ranked highest in the league gets a choice, "full-time" or "extra-time and pens". The purpose of this is in case both players choose the same side to win, but are both incorrect on the final scoreline.

For example, say ACS was against DMW, and ACS predicted 2-1 on a match and stipulated "full-time", and DMW predicted the same winner at 1-0, and the scoreline ended 4-0 at the end of ninety minutes, then ACS would go through. If it went to penalties or was decided in extra-time at a score neither had predicted, then DMW would advance.

So the procedure for advancement is as follows;
1. A correct score and side chosen is given, and that player advances
2. The players have chosen different sides to win, the correct player advances.
3. The players choose the same sides, but no correct result has been put forward, so it goes on the "full-time"/"extra-time and pens" rule. Note, in the above example, if ACS stipulates "full-time", but it ends 2-1 after extra-time, then he would advance. This mechanism is simply in place to ensure a winner.

There will also be a special award for the "golden alky", which is for the old wino who has collected the highest number of correct predictions in the course of the tournament.

LOL. Anyone else been shouting at the TV for the "wrong" score. I was shouting for Portugal to get another goal against Ghana so I could get a "perfect" score to only realise after the game had finished and was drowning my sorrows that I had the "perfect" score already and had been shouting for Portugal to score for no reason.
