Heidelberg is the home of Germany's oldest University - I think (not googled) Heidelberg - Koln* * - lovely Cathedral there
It is indeed Taff. Koln Cathedral is wonderful, some years ago, I was visiting Ford on business. Afterwards on a winter evening and snowing the square was empty, in one of the Cathedral archways a young girl was playing her violin, beautifully, NOT for money but for the pure joy of the music and acoustics. I sat outside the tavern and listened. Both magical and unforgetable Koln - Currywurst
Great memory! I went there when my father was on secondment in Düsseldorf with BP in c1965. Currywurst - Riesling
Like Father, like Son - corporate background eh! Riesling - Moselle** ** a glorious valley, with wines to match
Went to Munich in 2005 for Oktoberfest- had meeting the next day so was pretty tidy at the end of the night! Oktoberfest - Oberammergau* * - saw the Passion Play there in 1970 - it’s held every 10 years
I deduct that we both have a great appreciation and enjoyment of Germany and indeed of all things European Oberammergau - Brandenburg ** **other gates are available, but...as always, back to bach
Very good - back to Bach! Spent a lot of time in Germany - flew regularly, over the years (on business) to Düsseldorf, Stuttgart & Frankfurt. Also visited Koblenz, Hamburg & Munich - also on business, Brandenberg - Stuttgart
