Back home, sad day, we learned that one of our chums 'Big' Derek, passed away on Wednesday, he had lived in South Africa for some 20 years. Bloody hell, how time flies.

One of the perils of getting old, can always remember him back in the day, roaring FEET BEDFORD FEET. He was mean bastard in a ruck, luckily was never on the other side.

So we raised a glass (or two)

Sorry to read your post Nick - one of my flat mates at Uni passed away suddenly 5 years ago, he'd have been 60 a fortnight ago. Known him since first day at Grammar School in 1969.

Glad you gave him a good send off!

Glad you made it back OK. A very respectable average speed homeward bound. We had a (snow) delayed family dinner last night for No1 son's 50th birthday. Need to win the lottery quickly.

Well Scotland blew it against Ireland and as for England...oh dear. Good luck against Italy.
