im trying to put together a book of old league tables ,attendences players and photos of woolwich arsenal the original arsenal team that played in sth london plumstead, google is a bit crap on info ,was thinking going to the british libary do research on im hoping knowledgable fans on here know where i can find info on the woolwich arsenal, they had good attendences back then 15,000 but moved to north lon in 1912.Thanks jonathan
The club was originally called Dial Square in 1886, but changed their name to Royal Arsenal shortly afterwards. The second named change to Woolwich Arsenal came in 1893 and this name stayed with them until 1914. The third change was to The Arsenal, as the club had moved to North London a year earlier. The last change to simply Arsenal came in 1928.
what im looking for is good photos of the victoria ground where used to play in plumstead very hard to find
Just leave it. It'll be loads of ****ing about and you'll probably get bored. Have a few beers and a **** instead
