View attachment 18382 vs After a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night at Elland Road Charlton are on their travels again. This time their oppenents come in the shape of Wolverhampton Wanderers who are currently sixth in the league with a total of 20 points. In their last outing Wolves where moments away from victory at Bolton until Kevin Davies popped up with a late equaliser. The game finished 2-2 and Kevin Doyle bagged both their goals. It is starting to look like we prefer playing the tougher opposition in this league. We've taken points at Birmingham, Leeds and Blackpool and also beaten table topping Leicester at home. So i believe we can get something from this game providing we turn up on the day. Ebanks-Blake will be their main threat on the day and this guy although never properly cutting it at premier league level oozes class at Championship level so our back 4 will have to be at their best in this one. I'm going to go with a 1-1 draw with us taking the lead and them leveling late on.
Nice one Belv. Bit of a dilemma tomorrow if Stephens is fit. I'd go with Tuesday nights team again. Can see a narrow defeat here to be honest but wouldn't rule out another point. Suspect wolves are better than Leeds though.
Nice one belv. Not able to make it tomorrow, anyone here going? I expect the same team at Leeds will play, but would like Razak back. Not at the expense of dervite, who seems to offer the back four more protection, whilst being comfortable on the ball. I'm hopeful we can get something, they don't seem to be "in the groove" yet after the managerial and player changes. I think it will be another 1-1. The big question is will it be another second half goal though?
Not a clue, Salford - usually it's either a police request or when there's a reasonable expectation of a sell-out, but in any case latest news on the OS is that this has been ditched.
Yet another good thread, Belv. I'll be surprised if The Doctor makes any changes apart from possibly BWP for Hulse. Now that he hit on midfield combination that works why would he change it? Stephens is still not fit anyway.
Really disappointed I'll be missing this one - it was the match I was looking out for before the season began, but a bit far to travel today. Wolves mates are not confident, but I'm not expecting anything from this one.
Feel like cr*p this morning, there's a headache/sore throat bug going round work and I've got it in spades but I've got my ticket and I'm off about one. May not be doing too much shouting, though. I love Molyneux - great atmosphere, friendly fans, nice high viewing point, decent town parking and that awesome statue of Billy Wright. Wish I could say I were confident of the result. I'm hedging my bets at 1-1.
On my only visit to Molyneux some years ago I also found the fans really friendly. However a workmate of mine who was at the same match was robbed at knifepoint by a group of Wolves fans, so I hope you meet the same Wolves fans as I did!
In Australia now, game kicks off at midnight here, pretty jetlagged so doubt I'll be awake, hope to wake up tomorrow morning to a comfortable 3-0 win, would be delighted with a point though. Same team as Tuesday for me, BWP coming off the bench against tired defenders could be a good way for him to snatch a goal.
Anyone noticed the BBC website, I know we always complain about how it is really poor b Well I've never known him as a Winger, if he played there against Leeds my bad but still, come on BBC, you reported towards the end of the transfer window that he was a CM Villa were after, why call him a winger now? AND I'm sure we have won more then 1 in our last 5 league outings But I'm feeling good about away form for us, 2-1 to us a scrappy win hopefully
Afternoon all. Team is unchanged from Tuesday Hamer Solly Morrison Cort Evina Wilson Pritchard Dervite Jackson Kerkar Hulse Subs: Button, Taylor, Green, Wright-Phillips, Cook, Hollands, Razak
