So, after our 1-1 draw at Bolton, we next look to ' entertain ' Wolves - who look clear as day champions elect.

They are probably in their worst form of the season, losing 2-0 at H to capable and underachieving Forest - I mean they battered Arsenal and won at Wolves. A season of what might have been for the tricky trees. I tell you what that would really P me off as a Forest fan. You'd have to question player motivation there and wonder if several are in it just for themselves, looking for a big move. I digress slightly.....

Wolves DIDN'T have a single shot on target weirdly vs Forest though - strange.

Also, what I find stranger is the fact Wolves apparently according to a fan on youtube who commented on Mr Bloom's 15 minute review of 1-1 with Bolton, is their squad are heading to Spania for the week.... weird preparation!? I wouldn't be at all impressed if we did that with a one week turnaround put it that way.

As for the game, word on the street is Gleeson played well second half so can see him starting. I don't think that's dependent on Skuse being fit, pretty sure we're likely to go 4-3-3 and change system slightly.

( Providing everyone's fit / still here COUGH Bart COUGH McGoldrick... )

    Bart

    Spence / Chambers / Carter-Vickers / Knudsen

    Skuse / Connolly / Gleeson

    Waghorn / Garner / Celina

Bench - Gerken / McGoldrick / Drinian / Hyam / Kenlock / C Smith + one other. Maybe Nydham back from injury?

Think given we'll be chasing shadows vs what's likely to be 68% possession Wolverhampton, McGoldrick is more likely to be used off the bench. I noticed Mr Bru didn't make the bench vs Bolton - not that I'm especially worried as he's not remotely good enough, but wonder if he's made his final appearance for us.

Goodbye Tommy Smith also - again, not a massive fan but you've been a good servant to the club and wish you well in future endeavors. Wonder if you may get a testimonial one day....

Prediction - We kept them at arms length well in the away leg. Can see a very dull 0-0 here.

I predict a fairly routine 2-0 win for Wolves in this match. They have had a blip in form, but how many times have technically proficient teams played us off the park and beaten us this season? I think the McCarthy tactic of stifling teams and getting a point or three is being undermined this season by some very poor performances and results against the bigger teams in this division. It still works from time to time, and we have probably taken it for granted over the past few years, but this season that knack of shocking the big teams appears to have deserted us.

Regarding Forest, interesting point about the mercenary culture about the place. Forest remind me of us back in the early 2010s under Paul Jewell.

I think we'll go and beat them.. They're due a little wobble and after losing to Forest I can see us inflicting another loss just to make them check their stride.

Obviously it won;t be pretty to watch (by that I mean the team in Blue) but I just suspect a scrappy win with a late goal 2-1. Raising the spirits, Only to then go and lose at Sunderland and draw at home to Burton.

I can't see beyond a defeat and more discord between MM and the Town faithful.

If we can't beat Bolton, then surely Wolves will thump us.

I'll have some of what your smoking Scowey, would LOVE us to beat them but seems a big ask considering the quality they have and what we don't! Funny league though............ a reference game for me is always -

Bottom of the table SCUNTHORPE HAMMER top of the table QPR 4-1 - the year they had Taarabt etc.

I guess our bizarre out the blue result was us 5 West Ham 1. Who was there that night?

On the face of it i cant see past a comfortable win for Wolves, but then i think back to last season when the promotion favourites Newcastle came to PR, it was a nailed on away win but we played the best football i can remember of that dreadful season and played them off the park to win 3 - 1. it all depends on which Town team turns up.

That Newcastle match was one of the best performances I've seen under McCarthy. Hope to see another before the season end!

Strange goal to concede, Bart at fault maybe? Looked like he thought it was going wide and it went into the corner.
Ref has been terrible, pitch is terrible, we are terrible.

Chants of 'This is a library' after the goal and 'We're always **** in the winter" were the highlights today <laugh>

Think that's always the disappointing this as well Big Al, we can never be entertained in a football match because we play terrible football but we're also very good at making the opposition play terrible football as ell so we never see a good game
