    I'm clapping.

Surely we could still get some big sides to come down to our place for friendlies? No disrespect to Reading, but they are not really going to generate good revenue.

Sorry to veer of topic but can anyone tell me how to put a profile picture up? I probably sound daft but I can't work it out. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome PondersEnd <ok>

Completely agree with the lack of attractive opposition, since dropping to League One we've had a friendly against Ipswich at home (after playing them in the league a few months prior), then an away day at Watford, and now a home game against Reading (which probably won't have a very decent turnout considering we play them in the cup 2 weeks later). I used to love the home games against foreign opposition, really gives you an insight into the wider footballing world.

Right PondersEnd, as for your picture, click "notifications" at the top, then "inbox", then once it redirects you, if you look to the left of the page it should have a list of options, i.e "edit signature", "edit avatar". The "Avatar" is what you should be looking for and you can either upload a pic from your computer or from a webpage.

Thank you, WWOCB -top advice. I shall sort that out in a bit.

The board were probably shaking their heads in disbelief when Reading were pulled out of the hat for the cup game.

I remember Curbs' testimonial when we played Hearts and they brought down a really good crowd. I think it was a 1-1 draw and Andy Hunt played at The Valley for us for the first time. What a great signing he was!

I remember the Feyenoord friendly at The Valley I think it was the first time Darren Bent played at The Valley and also I remember being very impressed by a certain Dirk Kuyt in the Feyenoord team, if I remember right we won 3-1 with a couple of crackers from Bent, one a quality headed goal into the far corner of the goal, best friendly i've ever seen at The Valley

Reading friendly has now been postponed. Let's hope we can negotiate a game against some attractive opposition now instead.

Smart move to postpone the Reading friendly - crowd would have been about 250.

Can't make Woking, MikeT but I'll be at the Welling game. <ok>
