Matt Philips has just been signed by QPR from Blackpool for 4 million. Our former owner is said to have had a high sell on clause so we could be in for an unexpected pay day.
Pretty sure the takeover deal included a clause that Hayes got a large share of any sell on clauses relating to players sold prior to him leaving in repayment of his loans.
If you owned 6 pedigree dogs and you sold one with a sell on clause, then subsequently gave away the other 5 and the one you sold was sold on, who do you think would benefit from the sell on?
I though Phillips was injured and would be out for a couple of months? If Hayes had any decency he'd let us keep all the money after what he done to our club but isn't going to happen he's a fecking parasite!
Think Blackpool have already sorted their left back for the season: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23540827 If they wanted Dunne I think they would have signed him by now.
Has the deal actually gone through? I have not seen it confirmed and it is not mentioned on the QPR site. With regards to any sell-on fee I do recall that the Trust did say a while ago that any transfer profits would initially be used to reduce the debt with Hayes. However, given the start to the season is there any area of the team that actually needs strengthening. So far it looks like we have good cover in all areas.
According to The Sun this morning Wycombe get £800,000 from the Phillips transfer and £200,000 for Dunne which doesn't seem a lot as i'm sure we could have got more for Dunne but who knows what the add-ons are.Like i said it's only paper talk so it's not my fault if it's not true.
