I'm beginning to think so. Ward keeps droning on about the 'progress' we're making but the only progress I can see is the downwardly mobile type. He seems to be out of his depth and unable to halt the decline of our club. Earlier in the season it was clear we needed wide players so he signed Andy Bond, a central midfielder. He doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of the squad and suffers from McGhee - it is - playing people out of position - Beardsley on the wing ffs? We desperately need a striker but Ward and Higgs have failed to sign one. When the likes of Bury manage to sign Nardiello you just have to ask why we can't do something similar. It is clear that the team's confidence is evaporating. In front of goal and now, more worryingly, in defence. Playing Lockyer in the middle of the park is just a bad joke - the lad can't pass the ball and keeps giving it away. Why doesn't he play Norburn there? At the moment the club is a bloody shambles and I just can't see a way out of our predicament.
Its not looking good February's remaining fixtures are Oxford H Cheltenham H Bury A Burton H Scunthorpe A Can anyone honestly see us getting any points from these games? Maybe a draw against Bury
That would be more than we managed today at Bury out of the three main league 2 teams who post messages on this 606 site I don't think there is a lot to choose between us
You're the biggest club in this **** division and we're 2nd or 3rd biggest but despite this we're both shambolic. It"s a miserable time.
I don't think we'll go down but that's just a hunch rather than based on hard evidence! However I don't think we'll climb the table and we'll be biting what remains of our fingernails right to the bitter end.
Performances must improve, without question, and our season so far suggests that we can't afford to drop many points at home. Just one win in 15 away just isn't good enough.
Our home record's pretty good and three of our next four games are at home. Unless the lads start playing with the sort of urgency that got us out of the mire last season I think we could go down. It would be great if we had a side which performed consistently over a whole season rather intead of half a season when they can be bothered. They're all good players on their day, but I guess the reason they're League 2 players is because they can't string performances together. At least Ward has sorted out the defensive side of things. We just need a couple of goalscorers. When was the last time we had a 20+ goalscorer? No one's come close for years.
i dont think we will go down. i have my optimistic hat on. i think ward thought after mohammeds debut that we wont need a striker but after 19 shots against stanley and getting only 2 on target and then yesterday showing no quality in attack i think ward will dip into the loan market when it opens in 5 days time. our home record is good compared to teams around us and i think that could be the difference of staying up and going down. we must keep our home form going. however we will know more about where we will end up at the end of feb. would we have that striker on loan? we also have tough games in the next 5 this month, 3 of which is teams in the top 7, then a derby vs cheltenham and a 6 pointer vs bury who is in the mix with us.
why are you hoping you go down?? most likely will happen but why hope your own team go down? strange!
Surely you can identify a quote ffs desperate or what Halifax... on a Tuesday night, Halifax... on a Tuesday night Ahhhhh no matter how bad it is at our end its always great to see you lot suffering even worse
Nope. Your shower have definitely suffered more than us. You've got higher expectations because of the £50million investment, the 'Premier League in 5 years (!!!!!)', the oh so close dream shattered by Dean, only to find yourselves desperately fighting relegation from the 3rd tier. One only has to read the wailing and gnashing of teeth emanating from your board on a daily basis to see that
Ward out Was only last year he was taking you to league 1 and don't even get me started with "5 year plans" Paul Troll had one of they with your lot and ended up getting you relegated to league 2 Soon you'll be in the Conference ! ohhhh me sides You lot always cheer me up
Oh good god - where do I begin McWinless out O'Dismal out Cloterill out I really think you should change your username to Mr H P O'Crite You lot have been whining like little pussies for about 5 years and that whining has got shriller and shriller. You struggle past the mighty Carlisle and emerge from the drop zone for the first time in months and have the temerity to laugh at us Pantsdown pumps £50 million into 82 and gets you relegated How many messiahs can one club have?? We've been laughing at you and your hilarious boasts about the Premier League etc for years now! Most clubs would have got there with the backing you've had, but not C*ty. Oh no Well shiny me old mucker, I was quite miserable when I started this thread a few days ago - not now though, cos I've remembered to laugh at the ****!!!
You did bite then Bluebaldee, FairPlay to Shiny he caught you wriggling and squirming on that hook. Don't worry Chris will be on here later, he will no doubt, will start screaming and screaming till he is sick like a little girl he is. And your bite won't look so bad.
Don;t get me wrong, I like Wycombe quite a bit out of the clubs in this division, but biggest in league 2? I;m sure Portsmouth and Plymouth will have something to say about that
