Hey guys arsenal fan in peace. According to various reports you guys are on the verge of acquiring the services of hulk. I'm sure you will be ecstatic and so you should be. However this will leave you with torres, hulk, lukaku and sturridge all competing for a strikers place. Sturridge and Lukaku have both (lukaku to a greater extent although sturridge reitrated his desire to play as striker...reminds me of walcott!) vented their frustrations. Surely one of them is going to leave. If so who do you think it will be? Oh and on a side note do you think mceachran has got any chance of succeeding at chelsea?

Personally, Sturridge leaving wouldn't cause me to leap from a high building. No doubt he has talent, but he also has an ego that greatly exceeds the talent. Add to that an attitude as well. However, he is young and will no doubt get on top of things as he matures. I think there is a place for all of them.
As for McEachran, one thing is for certain, he has no chance of succeeding at Chelsea if he never plays for Chelsea. Ridiculous, we are desperate for just the sort of talent he gives us. Bugger his age, Oxnade double barrel is 18 and plays for England.

Yes, but in time, McEachran will play for Chelsea. That boy is talent. We aren't going to let him go. When Lamps retires I reckon McEachran will be filling the vacancy.

When you are trying to deliver a quadruple in terms of senior trophies, all the guys will get plenty of games as we rotate. Sturridge and Hulk when they play will almost certainly be used as wing men! It will be interesting to see how Eden Hazard will fit in to all this! What we now need is cover for Ivanovich at RB.
As for poor old Josh, he looked like he was destined for great things a year or 2 ago, but it looks as if his future lies elsewhere now! If Brendan Rodgers hadn't left for Liverpool he could well have ended up there!

haha i agree it will be a traversty if he isn't given a chance. When i first saw him in the fa youth cup i thought he would be on par with wilshere by now. Sending him to swansea may have been the wrong decision though.

Josh will be moved on this summer I think.
Lukaku could benefit from a loan in the Prem but he can also benefit us as the plan B.
I don't see Hulk playing striker but right side.

    Hulk and De Bruyne rs
    Tosses and Sturridge Centre
    Mata/Marin ls

Hazard behind them and Mata as cover.

    Sorted.

Lukaku needs playing time and Josh should've gone on loan to a championship club to toughen him up. He CANNOT be allowed to leave but he's not going to develop playing for our reserves.

I think he looked a lot better at the end of the season after he'd lost some weight. A season at Bolton might help.

Seems we're pretty much agreed on Joshs' talent. Can anyone explain why we almost never bring our youngsters through ????? Look at Wellbeck, Oxnade- Chamberlain,Wallcott, all of them England players and PL players before they were 20.As I said once before, is there some master plan to launch a world beating team on the PL in 2017 by starting this years youth team , once they're all over 25 ???
Seems crazy to buy these youngsters, train them then let them go. Surely cheaper to dispense with the youth altogether, and save the money for the De Bruynes and Hazards.

With new rules coming in vis a vis , Euro competition, balancing the books will become vital and outgoings like big money signings will be a thing of the past! This will be great for CFC who currently hold the FA youth cup and have the ability to scource the most promising team from within! Going back to the early 60's and the Doc when he launched our juniors on the Div 1 and nearly won it!

BM2, I do understand, and was attempting to be sarcastic ! I am very frustrated that no one in the Club ever seems to trust the youngsters, while our competitors seem to have a couple step up every year, like Jones and Wellbeck for instance. Look at the CL final, Luiz and Cahill, admittedly early 20's, and Bertrand all were brilliant', yet without our injuries, two of them wouldn't have played at all.. Would love to see Lukaku, Josh, Piazon et al get proper game time next season when and if we prioritise what we REALLY want to win.

Hulk will play in an attacking midfield trio with Mata on the left, Hazard in the middle and Hulk on the right playing behind Torres. Lukaku needs playing time so he'll go out on loan. That means Sturridge will be 2nd choice striker. Yes I think McEachran will succeed and he will be Lampard's successor in the future. Josh will get playing time with us this season as Malouda and Essien are likely to be sold this summer which opens up a place in the squad for McEachran.

Hope you are right Juan, Josh brings us something none of our other midfields have, and must be a better long term bet than Meireles or Benayoun. Some regular game time will see him push through as Bertrand has done, and with no transfer fee or huge wages.

Josh has an eye for a pass but needs to be busier. He's definitely a massive talent. I wouldn't cite Phil Jones in the same category CP cos United paid a lot of money for him but we can certainly look at Wilshere or Cleverly in the same light. Only difference I can see is that both Cleverly & Wilshere had successful loan spells whereas Josh's was a total waste of time & should've been re-called.

The US tour will be the perfect time to blood our young talent and new signings! I believe no player should have a place by right and they should all have to work for selection, but we cant go into our PL campaign playing a team full of spring chickens. However, this will end up, being the opportunity for our new manager to make his name(be it Robbie or someone else). If it is Robbie, will he have the balls to stand the old guard down to make way for them?

Couldn't agree more, just trying to make the point that at least 3 or 4 of them are ready to come into our squad NOW. Hazard and de Bruyne were both younger than ours when they broke through. Maybe we should send all our loan kids to Belgium and France since that's where all the good young ones seem to be.
Regarding the old Guard, I think ,as always, the real question is.......... does our OWNER have the balls to back his manager ?? Not so with AVB.

This reminds me of our midfield last summer, everyone was going on about our overspilling midfield...then Cole, Aquillani and Meireles left and we were left fairly weak...although you have far better quality to be left with than what we were if you were to sell.

Do you guys think you will keep spending over the summer? Everyone is going on about £80m spent so far and FFP but with a few sales of deadwood that could reduce the net spend considerably. Think you are doing everything right at the moment in getting the best in early, wish we did this more.
