I hope Sandro pulls a Vertonghen-style-stripping on him, but not in the box.

I know it's all banter, but we need to be careful what we say here. it's still early days and these comments could come back to haunt us.

worse still, we could potentially end up having our very own willian.... Lamela. he's far from proven yet and also cost £30m.

He does not have silly hair though!
Ok, he has slightly silly hair, but Willian's is sillier

so do i. but there's the potential for it to not work out for him. Just as there is for Willian to be excellent.

To be fair, he already has 2 assists in the league and got himself into a good position to score last night, so it is not as though he is out of his depth.

once he is up to speed with the prem I think he will be a very effective player.

We still have Lamela, Holtby, Chiriches, Capoue, Soldado, Chadli and CE to get up to speed fully and once they do we will be quite formidable imo. Just look how assured Sandro and Paulinho look.

I don't have much issue with his ability, his first showings are no worse than Chadli's who we slapped the 'give him time' badge on, no doubt Willian will get better in that respect. My issue is his morals and attitude because of it, he chose NOT to play for us, I do not want players like this at WHL and i hope AVB remembers that if he became available in future. His record for me doesn't say 30m worth either.

He's played twice. Think you're letting the fact he jumped ship cloud your judgement. As has been said, some of your new boys aren't setting the place alight yet but it's early doors.

    Wonder why eh?

I was always against us signing willian and had a go at the spurs fans who thought he would be a great signing so I can say he is what I expected without feeling like im bitter, as im sure some fans are .

I noticed Willian performed great against the chavs in the champions league so im expecting him to perform on the weekend, hes like Adebayor, shows up when he has a point to prove.

But overall its a ridiculous fee for a player who is nothing more then average, just like fernandinho at man city, two second rate Brazilian 'internationals' who only had a chance to earn moves from performing in a league that allows them time to show off their skills.

Over here, they wont get that time, so I expect they will have the odd good game but overall im expecting them to be fairly average just like Bony, Alitodore, even our signing Chadli.

Crazy money spent on these foreign players.

I think that is one of those quotes that sounds really good. But then you think about it and wonder if it means anything at all!
